Tiger Soccer Team to Compete for District Tournament Championship
The DCHS Tiger Soccer Team will compete for a District Tournament Championship Thursday evening against Upperman in Smithville. Gametime is 6 p.m.
The Tigers are ranked #1 in the state with a record of 13-1 overall and 8-0 in district play. They defeated Cumberland County 2-1 Tuesday night to advance to the championship game.
Season Ends for DCHS Tiger Baseball Team
The DCHS baseball season came to a close Wednesday evening with a 5 to 4 loss to Upperman in the District Tournament. The Tigers concluded the year with a record of 16-12 and an 8-2 district finish.
Tigerettes to Play for District Tournament Title
The DCHS Tigerettes will play for the District Tournament Championship Thursday evening at Watertown against either Macon County or Upperman. WJLE will have LIVE coverage.
The Tigerettes advanced to the title game by beating Upperman 6 to 3 on Wednesday.
DeKalb County scored 6 runs on 9 hits and made 3 errors. Upperman scored 3 runs on 6 hits and made 4 errors.
The Tigerettes scored 3 runs in the 1st inning, 2 runs in the 5th inning, and 1 run in the 7th inning. Upperman scored 3 runs in the 7th inning.
Kenzie France was the winning pitcher.
Kenzie France hit a homerun. Emme Colwell doubled. Maddison Parsley had 2 singles. Megan Walker 3 singles and Allison Maynard and Kristena Bain singled.
Tiger Soccer Team To Play for District Tournament Championship
The DCHS Tiger Soccer Team defeated Cumberland County 2 to 1 in the District Tournament opener Tuesday night in Smithville. The Tigers will meet either Stone Memorial or Upperman for the tournament championship Thursday night, May 10 at 6 p.m. at the high school football field.
Tigers Stung by Bees in District Tiournament
The DCHS Tiger Baseball Team lost to Upperman 8 to 1 in the District Tournament Tuesday. The Bees scored 5 runs in the 1st inning, 2 runs in the 5th inning, and 1 run in the 6th inning. The Tigers scored 1 run in the 7th inning.
