Florence Elaine Howell

Florence Elaine Howell, age 73, a McMinnville, TN resident and Short Mountain, TN native, was born July 15, 1946 and passed June 18, 2020 at home following an extended illness.
She was retired from NHC of McMinnville, a member of Short Mountain Old Methodist Church, and the daughter of the late, Howard Daniel and Naomi “Dude” Jewell Motley Howell. She was also preceded in death by brother, Michael Daniel Howell and son-in-law, Dean McMillen.
Ms. Howell is survived by four children, Tamela McMillen, JerryLee (Kymberly) Certain, Brent Hayes, and Amanda (Brandon) Stalcup all of McMinnville; she was a proud and loving nana to twenty grandkids and twenty three great-grandkids; sister, Cynthia Anne Howell; brother, Timothy Rowan (Virginia) Howell; two nieces; one great-niece and three great-nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 22, 2020 in High’s Chapel with Faye Tucker officiating. Burial will follow in Whorton Springs Cemetery in Smithville, TN. Visitation will be Sunday from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Monday from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at High’s.

Peggie Lois Driver Grandstaff McClain

Mrs. Peggie Lois Driver Grandstaff McClain, age 71 of Woodbury, TN passed away Thursday afternoon, June 18, 2020 at her residence.

Mrs. Peggie was born on June 22, 1948 to her parents, the late Gene & Rosie Arnold Driver. Her husband, Cecil McClain also precedes her in death along with a sister, Doris Driver. She worked for Hartman Luggage & was a Cafeteria worker at Centertown Elementary School. She loved camping in the outdoors and fishing.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at 1pm from the chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Bro. Nick Pelham will officiate and burial will follow at Viola Cemetery in Warren County. Visitation with the family will be on Friday from 2-8pm & again on Saturday from 10am until the service time at 1pm. Due to Covid-19 precautions, social distance measures will be observed.

Survivors include her son, Marcus (Dianna) Grandstaff of Woodbury, TN. 3 Grandchildren, Dakota Grandstaff, Tyler Grandstaff & Zaxton Grandstaff all of Woodbury, TN. 3 Step Children, Shirley Tomlin-Butler, Kent McClain & Danny McClain. 5 Step Grandchildren, Tabitha Medley, Tiffanie Tomlin, Jennifer Tomlin-Botbyl, Lauren McClain & Julie Tomlin. 1 Brother, Robert Driver of McMinnville, TN. 3 Sisters, Pat Pelham of McMinnville, TN, Jewell Kirby of Smithville, TN & Debbie Scurlock of Smithville, TN.

Bobby Carl Dale age 82 of Knoxville, Tenn. formerly of Smithville passed away at his home June 16, 2020. He was the son of Robert & Pauliene Dale. He is survived by his wife Deloris Dale; Mother of his children: Mary Ellen Dale; 3 surviving children: Jamie, Joshua, David; surviving grandchildren, JD, Lucas, and Jonah; 1 sister: Nell Beshearse; 1 nephew: Jim (Marla) Beshearse; 2 great nieces: Carsyn and Cate Beshearse; 4 step-children, several step-grandchildren; 2 deceased children: Patricia and Scott Dale. James Steven “Pee Wee” LeDuc

James Steven “Pee Wee” LeDuc age 44 of Lebanon, passed away Tuesday morning, June 16, 2020 at Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital. He was born August 6, 1975 to his parents, the late Larry and Vinnie Sue Woods LeDuc. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James and Frances Woods. He was a construction worker with Alley-Cassetty in Lebanon. He is survived by his wife, Teresa LeDuc of Lebanon; 2 step-daughters, Brianna Lynn Taylor and Kelsey Dawn LeDuc both of Lebanon; brother, Eric LeDuc of Boise, ID; mother-in-law, Bobbie (David) Dickens of Lebanon; 2 uncles, Jimmy (Vickie) Woods of Alexandria and Mike (Lisa) Woods of Concordia, KS. The family has chosen a direct cremation. There will be a graveside service and inurnment at Hillview Memorial Cemetery 11:AM Wednesday, June 24, 2020 with Bro. Jimmy Arms officiating. Anyone Attending is asked to please adhere to Social Distancing Guidelines for the health and safety of everyone. Delores Irene Jones

Delores Irene Jones age 86 of Smithville, passed away Thursday, June 11, 2020 at NHC HealthCare Center in Smithville. She was born July 9, 1933 to her parents, the late Everett and Gertrude Doran Allsop. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Richard Jones; son, Charles V. Jones; siblings, Junior Allsop, William Allsop, Joseph Allsop, Ruby Dunaway and Sweed Allsop. Ms. Delores was a homemaker and a member of the Dry Creek Baptist Church. She leaves to cherish her memory 2 children, Richard Reed Jones of Crossville and Janet (Kevin) Felts of Tullahoma; 1 grandson, Trent Jones of Knoxville; 1 great-granddaughter, Nora Jones; 1 sister, Helen Spicer of Prescott Valley, AZ. The family has chosen a direct cremation and there will be a Memorial Service held at a later date. The date and time of the service will be announced once it has been set. Joyce Monzell Lewis

Smithville, TN resident and Cannon County, TN native Joyce Monzell Lewis, age 85, was born January 25, 1935 and died June 14, 2020 at NHC Healthcare in Smithville, TN following an extended illness.

A homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Belford and Kathleen Young Lewis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Don Ray Lewis and daughter-in-law, Debbie Reuhland Lewis.
She is survived by four children and spouses, Ronald and Carol Lewis of McMinnville, Russell Lewis of Murfreesboro, TN, Jimmie and Teresa Lewis of Woodbury, TN and Gretchen and Carl Byford of Smithville, TN; ten grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Jerry Foster of Montana; and four nieces and nephew also survive.

A graveside service and interment will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2020 in Mt. View Cemetery with Brock Lillis officiating. There will be no visitation at High’s. Friends are to meet at the cemetery.
