Mr. Mitchell League Sr. age 72 of Smithville passed away on Saturday at Ascension St. Thomas in Rutherford County. Mr. League was a retired maintenance worker with McDonald’s and a member of the Northside Church Of Christ. Mr. League was a U.S. Army Veteran and served in Vietnam. He was also a member of the Naptown Motorcycle Riders.
Mr. League was preceded in death by his mother- Alice League.
Visitation with the League family will be on Wednesday from 10 until time of the service at 12 noon. Bro. Burnace Lyons will officiate. Burial will follow in DeKalb Cemetery.
Survivors of Mr. League include 2 Daughters- Michele League of Sparta and Farrah & Rohan League-Sutherland of FL. 2 Sons- Michael League of Sparta and Mitchell & Nickie League of Nashville. 9 Grandchildren, 4 Sisters- Teresa Sweatt of Smithville, Vanessa & Daniel Williams of TX, Karen & Gerald Hurd of Lebanon and Chris League of Smithville.
