Ella Marie Roark Reeder age 58 of Smithville, passed away Monday morning, June 8, 2020 at her residence. She was born February 10, 1962 to her parents, the late James and Bessie Cassell Davidson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Reeder and 1 son, Rusty Roark. Ella was a former restaurant owner. Survivors include 1 daughter, Christina Ervin of Monroeville, AL; 5 grandchildren, Tessa, Kaden, Jack, Spencer and Ezra Ervin; companion, Toby Biggs of Smithville; 2 brothers and 1 sister. There will be a Private Graveside service held at DeKalb Memorial Gardens. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

Martha Ann Tisdale age 76 of Lebanon passed away Wednesday evening, June 10, 2020 at her residence. She was born December 10, 1943 to her parents, the late Hobert O. Tisdale and Martha Jane Linder Tisdale Kelly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Herman Kelly; son, Clevie Petty; grandson, Dylan Petty; brother, Billy Tisdale and sister, Darlene Tisdale. Ms. Tisdale was a Master Barber and owned and operated the Ideal Barber Shop in Lebanon for many years; she was a member of the Lebanon-Wilson Chamber of Commerce and was a Christian. She leaves to cherish her memory 5 children, Sylvia Petty of Smithville, Tony Petty and Denise Garcia both of Lebanon, Homer Petty and Mark Petty both of Smithville; 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; 3 brothers, Bobby Tisdale and Hobert Tisdale, Jr. both of Lebanon and Ricky Tisdale of Carthage; 1 sister, Nancy Tisdale of Lebanon and several nieces and nephews. Due to COVID-19, the Governors Executive Order 38 and Social Distancing Guidelines; Our pews in the Chapel are marked off to respect the guidelines and allow approximately 100-125 people for the service, we ask for the health and safety of everyone that you please exercise Social Distancing. The Funeral Home Lounge is Closed and NO Food or Drinks allowed in the funeral home. Funeral Services will be conducted 11:AM Saturday, June 13, 2020 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Rick Smith officiating and burial follow in Adcock Cemetery. The Funeral Service will be live-streamed on DeKalb Funeral Chapel Facebook page. Visitation with the family will be on Friday 4 PM until 7 PM and Saturday 9AM until the time of the service at 11AM. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Dorothy Young Hale age 88 of Smithville passed away Monday afternoon, June 8, 2020 at St. Thomas DeKalb Hospital.

She was born on May 14, 1932 in DeKalb County to her parents, the late Dibrell & Lula Curtis Young. Also preceding her in death are her 2 brothers, Hugh Morris Young & John Robert Young. Mrs. Hale was a member of Elizabeth Chapel Baptist Church, she was a former Avon Representative and was retired from Kingston Timers.

Survivors include her Daughter, Pamela Hale and a Son, Craig Hale both of Smithville. Sister, Bessie Hendrix of Smithville. Sister-in-law, Mary Young of Smithville. Several nieces, nephews, and special friends, Brenda Anderson & Edie Lasser both of Smithville also survive.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at 2pm from the chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Bro. Joel Wood & Bro. Bill Robertson will officiate with burial following at DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday from 5-8pm & again on Thursday, from 10am until the service time at 2pm. Due to Covid-19 precautions, social distance measures will be observed.

Linda Charles Steinmark age 64 of Sparta and native of Smithville, passed away Saturday morning, June 6, 2020 at her residence. She was born December 19, 1955 to her parents Will Charles Johnson and Gertrude “Dollie” Ferrell Turner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathryn Michelle Prater Carr; sister, Irene Johnson Bain and brother, Dale Bain. She worked in factories and was an entrepreneur. Linda was a affiliated with The Apostolic Ark. Survivors include 1 daughter, Donna Prater Bogle of Sparta; 4 grandchildren, Nathan Neal, Destiny Herron, Bailey Pack and Kaleb Bogle; 4 great-grandchildren, Audrey Herron, Kyle Bell, II, Tucker Merriman and Corbin Claude; 2 sisters, Peggy Dyer of Sparta and Joann Meece of Dowelltown; 1 brother, Randy (Donna) Massa of Smyrna; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted 2 PM Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Randy Massa officiating and burial will follow in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday 11:AM until the time of the service at 2 PM. Peggy Lynn Turner Jordan age 54 of McMinnville and Smithville native, passed away Sunday morning June 7, 2020 at her residence. She was born February 8, 1966 to her parents, the late Wilson and Peggy Gail Green Turner. She was a devout Christian and worked in Bookkeeping and Accounting. She is survived by 3 sons, Ryan Turner of Nashville, Weston Jordan of Murfreesboro and John Jordan of Smithville; former husband and friend, Mike Jordan of Smithville. Funeral services will be 2 PM Friday, June 12, 2020 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with David Settles and Rex Boles officiating and burial will follow in Whorton Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday 10:AM until the time of the service at 2 PM. Martha J. Ferrell age 85 of Smithville, passed away Sunday night, June 7, 2020 at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville. She was born February 27, 1935 to her parents, the late Hurshell and Harriett Martha Martin Judkins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Roscoe Ferrell and 2 children, Janie Ferrell and Jackie Ferrell. Ms. Martha was a Baptist and a retired factory worker. She is survived by 2 children, Kenneth Ferrell of Smithville and Jonah Maysam of Richland, Washington; granddaughter, Darya Maysam. There will be a Private Interment held at DeKalb Memorial Gardens.
