Larry Eugene Rhoady age 62, of Smithville passed away Saturday July 10, 2021 at his residence. He was born February 9, 1959 to his parents Robert Boyd and Oneeta Maxine Bain Rhoady. He was preceded in death by grandparents: Bob and Lillly Mae Rhody and Clifford and Katy Bain; son: Larry Rhoady, Jr. Mr. Rhoady attended Center Hill Brethren In Christ Church and worked at the Cabinet Factory. He is survived his wife, Sandra Rhoady of Smithville; children: Jake (Emily) Rhoady and Jenna (Zac) Rhoady of Indiana; parents: Boyd and Maxine Rhoady of Smithville; grandchildren: Jaxon Rhoady, Eloise Rhoady, Harrison and Owen Marlette, Dalton and Chance Jones, Lila and Austin Rhoady; brothers: Ronald (Jan) Rhoady of Smithville, Michael (Ruthann) Rhoady of Morrison; sister: Judy (Jesse) Esparza of McMinnville; mother-in-law: Doris Caldwell; brother-in-law: Eddie Caldwell; lots of nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be 3 PM Wednesday July 14, 2021 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Larry Steffee and Bro. Rick Stewart officiating and burial to follow in Gath Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday 3 PM till 7 PM and on Wednesday 10:AM until the time of the service at 3 PM. In addition to flowers the family ask donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Due to COVID-19 the funeral home lounge is closed and No food or drinks are allowed anywhere in the funeral home. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Rose Petty Knowles, age 78 of Smithville, TN passed away Sunday, July 11, 2021 at her residence.
Ms. Knowles was a Baptist, homemaker, and a factory worker.
She was preceded in death by her husband Cleston “Peel” Knowles; parents, Thomas and Madie Colwell Petty; 5 brothers; 2 sisters; 1 grandchild, Brian Thomason; 1 great-grandchild, Lashae Certain; 1 stepson, Jeff Knowles.
Survivors include children, Rose Ann (Joe) Certain, Pam Turner, Sandy Petty, Jeff (Susie) Thomason, TD Thomason, Chad Knowles, and Jason Knowles all of Smithville, Barbara Neal of Summitville; 17 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; 1 sister, Ruth Thomason of Smithville; 2 stepdaughters, Anita (Anthony) Hendrix of Smithville, and Paula Knowles of Nashville; 2 Special nieces, Robin Buck and Tammy Thomason.
Visitation with the Knowles family will be on Tuesday, July 13th from 2pm until 8 pm and Wednesday, July 14th from 9am until the funeral service at 2pm in the chapel at Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Billy Martin will officiate & burial will follow in Petty Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to Love-Cantrell Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.

Virginia Ann Hendrixson age 65 of Liberty, passed away Saturday July 10, 2021 at Alive Hospice in Nashville. She was born June 18, 1956 to her parents the late J. D. and Altie Ashburn Frazier. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers: Azero Frazier, Henry Frazier, Lester Frazier, Junior Frazier, and Norman Frazier; sister: Hazel Frazier. Mrs. Hendrixson attended The House of Prayer Church and worked at Genesco and at Prospect for 5 years. She is survived by her husband Joe D. Hendrixson of Liberty; children: Freddy Stringer, Jr. of Liberty, James (Amanda) Stringer of Liberty, and Doug (Shelly) Hendrixson of Dowelltown; grandchildren: Terry Stringer, Virginia Stringer, Braxton Singer, Devon Singer, Dalton Singer, Caleb Singer, Jakob Sandlin, Jasen Sandlin, Aiden Stringer, Douglas Hendrixson, Hailey Hendrixson, and Emily Hendrixson; sisters: Neodia Cantrell of Dowelltown, Marie (Horace) Bratcher of Smithville; brothers: Roscoe (Pauline) Frazier of Dowelltown. Leo Frazier of Chattanooga, and Garlon (Ann) Frazier of Liberty. Funeral services will be held 6 PM Wednesday July 14, 2021 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Michael Hale officiating. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday from 1 PM until the time of the service at 6 PM. The family ask that donations be made to DeKalb Funeral Chapel to help with funeral expenses. Due to Covid-19 the funeral home lounge is closed and No food or drink is allowed in the funeral home. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Shirley Austin Pascal, age 81 of Smithville, passed away on Thursday at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital.
Mr. Pascal was preceded in death by his parents- William Pascal & Patsy Evins Taylor, Wife- Minnie Pascal, Daughter- Patsy Goodman, Grandaughter- Peggy Marie Pascal, 2 Brothers- J.T. & Jimmy Pascal & 2 Sisters- Willie Pearl Caldwell & Helen Johnson.
He is survived by 1 son- Willie & Kathy Pascal, 1 Daughter- Margie & Bobby Hale, Step Daughter- Brenda Tucker, 6 Grandchildren- Heather Church, Justin Hale, Travis Bogle, Ashley Pascal, Emily Pascal & Brayden Sullivan, several Great Grandchildren & Special Friends- Wendy, Raymond & David Turner.
Mr. Pascal’s family has chosen direct cremation. There will be no visitation.

76 year old Carolyn Louise Poteet of Liberty died Sunday at her residence. She was a cafeteria manager at Wright Middle School and a member of Salem Baptist Church. A memorial service will be Saturday at 12 noon at Salem Baptist Church. Jason Lohorn will officiate. Visitation will be Saturday from 10 a.m. until the service. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Margaret Benderman. She is survived by her husband of 57 years Ronnie. Three children, Phil (Lisa), Jeff (Debra), and Ken (Angela). Eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A sister, Sharron Hurt. Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria is in charge of the arrangements.
Reba E. Page

Mrs. Reba E. Page, age 91, of Smithville, Tennessee, passed peacefully surrounded by family from her earthly home into the arms of her Heavenly Father on July 7, 2021.
She was born to the late Thomas Walker and Lillie Mae Waggoner Moore on November 9, 1929 and was married to the late Roy Garland Page. She is survived by six children and their spouses: Brenda (Steve) Rigney, Wayne (Dianne) Page, Fran (Jimmy) Herndon, LaNell (Richard) Green, Roy Gene (Kathy) Page, and Carol (Dewain) Hendrixson. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren: Tara (John) Harper, James (April) Herndon, Christi (Rick) Root, Donnie Page, Sara (Torrey) Fulton, Matthew (Jennifer) Herndon, Oliver (Ashley) Green, Garland (Marjorie) Page, Rebecca (Neal) Hendrixson, Rachel Hendrixson, Grant Page, Caroline Green, Jeff Rigney, and Kendall Holland. Her great-grandchildren are Crockett Herndon, Abigail Baker, Holly Herndon, Kate Herndon, Garrett Fulton, Andrew Herndon, Grayson Fulton, Lily Root, and baby Green due in December. Her surviving siblings are Royce (Ruby) Moore, Jerry (Donna) Moore, Nina Hart, Earnest Moore, and Stacy Elouise Foster. She also has many special extended family members.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by an infant sister (Ruby Moore), two brothers (David and Tommy Moore), and a daughter-in-law (Kathy Lawell Page).
Mrs. Page enjoyed working for seventeen years at Fuston’s Five and Dime Store and Fuston’s Antiques. During her work at the antique store, she loved learning about various kinds of antique collectibles and became skilled with identification and appraisal. She met people from all over traveling through Smithville as they stopped to shop at the antique store. She attended her home church, New West Point Free Will Baptist Church, faithfully every Sunday she was able. Her last day of attendance was Mother’s Day 2021, when she was recognized as the oldest mother. Above all else, she was a firm believer in God’s Word and encouraged every member of her family to have a relationship with the Lord through prayer and reading the Bible.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Love-Cantrell Funeral Home on July 10, 2021, and a graveside service will follow at DeKalb Memorial Gardens at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any contributions in memory of Mrs. Page to be made to the New West Point Free Will Baptist Church, 2293 Midway Road, Smithville, TN 37166.
The family of Mrs. Page would like to express heartfelt gratitude to the following healthcare professionals: Dr. Doug Hooper for his years of attentive care, the cardiology team at Centennial Heart, the staff at DeKalb St. Thomas during hospital stays, and each nurse/aide/ chaplain that visited from Avalon Hospice in McMinnville.
