Gena Gail James age 72 of Smithville and native of Warren County, passed away Wednesday morning, November 18, 2020 at NHC HealthCare Center in Smithville. She was born October 16, 1948 to her parents, the late Bobby and Wilma Moore James. She was disabled and a member of the New Union The Baptist Church. Gena Gail is survived by her brother, Dan (Faye) James of McMinnville. Graveside services and interment will be 2 PM Friday, November 20, 2020 at DeKalb Memorial Gardens with Bro. Michael Hale officiating. There will not be any visitation at the funeral home, family and friends will meet at the cemetery for the graveside service at 2 PM. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

Patricia Gail Young age 63 of Smithville, passed away Wednesday morning, November 18, 2020 at Manchester Health and Rehab. She was born December 26, 1956 to her parents, the late Garland and Charlie Louise Hale. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Brenda Hale and Reba Cantrell; father and mother-in-law, Charlie and Gladys Young. Gail was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Wayne Young of Smithville; 2 children, David Young and Brandy, Amanda Young and Philip Miranda both of Smithville; 5 grandchildren, Alexis (Chase) Hillis, Nicholas (Shana) Young, Lashay Hines, Megan and Haley Fitts; 1 great-grandchild, Hadley Young; 2 sisters, Joyce Mathis and Wanda Byford both of Smithville; 1 brother, Danny (Susie) Hale of McMinnville; 2 brothers-in-law, Stevie and Freddie Young both of Smithville; 3 sisters-in-law, Sue Herndon, Carolyn Robinson and Annette Sells all of Smithville; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be 4 PM Friday, November 20, 2020 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Michael Hale officiating. Visitation with the family will be 2 PM until the time of the service at 4 PM. Due to COVID 19 and Social Distancing guidelines, we ask for the health and safety of everyone, that you please exercise social distancing. The pews are marked off to respect these guidelines and allow 100-125 for the funeral service. The funeral home lounge is closed at this time and NO food or drinks are allowed in the funeral home. Ms. Edith Gail Hollon, age 73 of McMinnville, TN passed away Tuesday night, November 17, 2020 at her daughters home.

Ms. Hollon was born on March 18, 1947 in Belle Glade, FL to her parents, the late William & Dora Jones Roller. Also preceding her in death is her brother, William “Buff” Roller, Jr. She was a Homemaker, worked in the Nursery Industry and was a Christian.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 20, 2020 at 12noon from the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Burial will follow at DeKalb Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be on Thursday from 2-8pm & Friday, from 9am until the service time at 12noon. Due to Covid-19 precautions, social distance measures will be observed. We are not accepting food in our kitchen facilities.

Donald Gene “Donnie” Rigsby age 59 of Smithville passed away Monday November 16, 2020 at his residence. He was born April 1, 1961 to his parents, the late Jewel Brown “Red” and Margie Elizabeth Pascal Rigsby. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 brothers, twin brother Ronald Dean Rigsby, James “Jim” Rigsby, Floyd Lynn Rigsby and Danny Marlin Rigsby. He was of the Baptist Faith and self-employed. He is survived by 1 son, Jonathan Rigsby of Florida; 2 grandchildren, Gwenevere Alalyne and Bellamay Alarie Rigsby; 2 sisters, Melissa King and Margie Miller both of Smithville; 3 brothers, Lloyd Rigsby, Bob Rigsby and Billy Rigsby all of Smithville; sister-in-law, Elaine Rigsby of Smithville and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Graveside services and interment will be 11:AM Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Jefferson Cemetery with Bro. Michael Hale officiating. Visitation will be Thursday 9 AM until 10:30 AM at the funeral home, then Mr. Rigsby will be taken to the cemetery for the graveside service. Gene Calvin Wilkerson age 82 of Smithville, passed away Sunday night November 15, 2020 at his residence. He was born July 18, 1938 to his parents, the late Roy L. and Dovie Lorene Gamill Wilkerson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Katelynn Wilkerson. Gene was retired from Smithville Concrete with close to 30 years of service. He was a National Guard and U.S. Army Veteran. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 62 years, Lena Harbin Wilkerson; 6 children, Marilynn Schaddelee (Frank), James Wilkerson (Angela), Sherry Wilkerson (Jeremy), Lisa Bowman (Mike), Darryl Wilkerson (Annette) and Denise Bogle (Tim); 19 grandchildren, Celena Schaddelee, Josiah Schaddelee, Talor Darling, Stephanie Driver, Shellie Wilkerson, C.J. Wilkerson, Arigail Keaton, Delilah Keaton, Nathan Lawson, Tiffani Martin, Brandon Stockling, Hillary Tramel, Payton Bowman, Emily Wilkerson, Jacob Wilkerson, Olivia Logan, Savannah Whitefield and Joel Wilkerson; 21 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Barbara Replogle and Mackie Easterly (Leon). Funeral services will be 1 PM Thursday, November 19, 2020 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Bobby Thomason officiating and burial will follow in DeKalb Cemetery with Military Honors conducted by the Veterans Honor Guard. Howard Charles Brown born December 11, 1947 in Cleveland, Ohio passed from this life on November 6, 2020 at NHC in Smithville, Tennessee. Howard was born to Howard Joseph Brown and Lucille Marie Rohde. He was the second child of five. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Sandy. He is survived by Siblings: Marilou (Gary) Butler of Orlando, Florida; Ted (Mary Jane) Brown of Ladson, South Carolina; Chuck Brown of Royal Palm Beach, Florida; and Mike (Heidi) Brown of Palm Springs, Florida. Children: Denise (Phillip) Brown of Skipperville, Alabama; Howard (Michelle) Brown of Fort Pierce, Florida; Laura Brown of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; Greg (Kerry) Ward of Gainesville, Florida; Matthew (Jane) Brown of Smithville, Tennessee. Grandchildren: Tim (Mari) Brown; Ashley Ward; Jessica Brown; Kyle Ward; Michael (Kayla) Chadwick; Justin (Amy) Chadwick; Matthew (Brandi) Sesco; Cooper Brown; Gabby Ward; Tyler Ward; and Cale Brown. Great-grandchildren: Aaron Yarborough; Josiah Mills; Bryson Chadwick; Levi Chadwick; Tucker Chadwick Whitley Chadwick; Amara Sesco; and Charlie Brown. Several nieces and nephews survive. Howard grew up in Lake Osborne Estates, Lake Worth, Florida. He served in the United States Navy. He had a passion for planes and earned his pilot license at the age of fifteen. With his talents, he restored a 1955 Ford Crown Victoria which everyone knew as “Vicky”. He met the love of his life Sandra Faye Cooper, and they moved to Smithville, Tennessee in 1985. He and Sandy enjoyed woodworking, building unique items for their home and for family members. Many people got to know Howard and Sandy during their years of installing carpet. Howard has resided the last three years at NHC of Smithville where he gained new friends and family with the Staff of NHC. The family would like to thank the dietary staff at NHC for providing meals that Howard enjoyed very much. The family also acknowledges and give specials thanks to Mario, Beckie, and so many others that doted over Howard taking time for conversation and watching his western movies with him. At the request of Howard and Sandy, no memorial service will be held. The family will gather in south Florida at a later time to spread their cremains. The family request that in memory of Howard donations be given to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society through DeKalb Funeral Chapel. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
