Franciso Sosa Sanchez

Mr. Franciso Sosa Sanchez, age 84 of Smithville, TN passed away on Wednesday at St. Thomas DeKalb Hospital. Mr. Sanchez was born on Oct. 4, 1938 in La Caballada, Mexico. He was preceded in death by his parents Jorge Sota & Patricia Sanchez and 2 sons, Jorge & Lorenzo Sosa.

The visitation will be on Thursday from 2 to 8 and Fri. 9 until the funeral service at 1. Bro. Bernard Houk will officiate. Burial will follow in DeKalb Cemetery.

He is survived by 7 sons, Apolinar Sosoa and Martin Sosa both of Mexico, Felix Sosa, Ezequiel Sosa, Felipe Sosa, Juan Sosa & Fransico Sosa all of Smithville, 3 daughters, Nohemi Brown, Santos Sosa & Ines Pilcher all of Smithville. Several Grandchildren & Great-grandchildren also survive.

James David Linder

James David Linder age 63, of Smithville passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at St. Thomas Riverpark Hospital in McMinnville. He was born December 6, 1958, to his parents, the late J. C. and Clara Elizabeth Stafford Linder. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death siblings, Joyce Mayo, Lois Ann Page, and J. Edward Linder. Mr. Linder was a member of House of Prayer Church and of the Baptist Faith and was a drywall finisher. He is survived by wife, Teresa Linder of Smithville; children, Brandon Linder of Alabama, Cody Linder of Alabama and Tori Linder of Smithville; 3 grandchildren; siblings, Danny Linder of Texas, Jerry Linder of Lebanon, Peggy Carpenter of McMinnville, Zettie Ervin of Smithville, Sue Caldwell of Smithville, and Roger Linder of Smithville; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family has honored Mr. Linder’s request to be cremated. A Memorial Service will be held 1 PM Thursday, October 13, 2022, at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Donald Haggard officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to DeKalb Funeral Chapel to help with funeral expenses. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.




Glenda Jane Neal

Mrs. Glenda Jane Neal, age 63 of McMinnville, TN passed away on Monday at her residence.

Mrs. Neal was born on June 18, 1959 in Smithville, TN. She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Hodges Phifer, Sister, Betty Diane Jackson and niece, Becky Pollard. She was retired waitress.

The family will have a private visitation and memorial service. Pastor Robby Black with officiate.

She is survived by a son, Derrick Hill of Smithville, 4 Grandchildren, Reece George and Ian Mason Hill both of Smithville and Jonas Hill & Madalynn Hill both of Texas, 2 sisters, Judy & Kelly Pollard of McMinnville and Dean & Roger Denton of Cookeville, 1 brother, Billy & Kimerly Neal of Smithville, 3 nieces, Jessica & Robby Black of McMinnville, Legina & Squeak Jackson of Cookeville, and Meagan Perry of McMinnville. 3 nephews, Eric Pollard, and John Arthur Sewell both of McMinnville, and Travis and Olivia Neal (their two children Caroline and Cammie) of Smithville, 7 great nieces and great nephews also survive; Eric Cain Pollard, Isaac Orion Pollard, Chris and Jayme Thrower (their 4 children; Cooper, Colt, Aubrey, and Haisleigh), Anna and Alyc Simmons, Alton Womack, and Rebecca LeAnn Lance.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations please be made to the funeral home to help with burial expenses.

Paul Robinson Webster

Paul Robinson Webster age 82 of Smithville passed away October 2, 2022, at NHC Healthcare of Smithville. He was born August 26, 1940, in Smith County to his parents, the late Thomas Loye and Bonnie Bell Williams Webster. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Phillip W. Webster and stepson, Dwayne Pedigo. Mr. Webster was of the Baptist Faith and worked as Heavy Machine Operator. He is survived by 2 children, Paula Benedict of Smithville and Shawn Webster of Dowelltown; grandchildren, Ron Collins, Chassity Benedict, Nicholas (Jamie) Benedict, Zoe Webster, Phillip Wright, Joseph Webster, Thomas (Olivia) Webster, and Ashley Webster; several great-grandchildren; brother, Doyle (Willette) Webster of Brush Creek; nephew and nieces, Mark (Charlotte) Webster, Felicia (Paul) Pope, Pam (Randall) Mason; mother of his children, Billie Joyce Webster of Dowelltown; step-son, Terry Pedigo of Smithville. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Wednesday, October 5, 2022, DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Thurman Seber officiating and burial to follow in New Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday 3 PM till 7 PM and on Wednesday10:AM until the time of the service at 1 PM. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.




Dennis Wayne Roller

Dennis Wayne Roller age 71 of Dowelltown passed away Friday morning, September 30, 2022 at his residence. He was born November 13, 1950 to his parents, the late Ivory Eugen and Billie Marie Cooley Roller. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Chris Roller and brother, Danny Roller. He attended the Snow Hill Baptist Church and was a U.S. Army Veteran and retired from the National Guard. Dennis is survived by his wife, Eva Roller of Dowelltown; daughter, Carla Roller (Rusty Young) of Dowelltown; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Cantrell of Centertown; 3 grandchildren, Cameron (Samantha) Roller, Caleb (Ashley) Roller, Alyssa Roller and Zackary Young; 1 great-grandson, Rylan Roller and 1 expectant great-granddaughter; sister, Sharon (Billy) Washer of Smithville; several nieces and nephews and special aunt, Jo Smithson of McMinnville; and his church family and friends. Graveside services and Interment will be 3:30 PM Monday, October 3, 2022 at DeKalb Memorial Gardens with Bro. Todd Pack officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday 2 PM until 6 PM at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. There will not be any visitation on Monday, family and friends will meet at DeKalb Memorial Gardens for the graveside service at 3:30 PM. In addition to flowers, the family asks that donations be made to New Frontiers, in memory of Dennis. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.




Roger Danner

Mr. Roger Alan Danner, age 67 of Silver Point, TN passed away Monday, September 26, 2022 at his residence.

Mr. Danner was born on October 14, 1954 in Louisville, KY to his parents, the late Raymond & Frances Juanita Lodge Danner. He was a Pilot.

The family of Mr. Danner has chosen direct cremation. No services are planned at this time. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
