Tigerettes Win Slugfest at Livingston Academy Primary tabs

The DCHS Tigerettes defeated Livingston Academy 17 to 13 in a slugfest Tuesday on the road.

The Tigerettes scored 17 runs on 18 hits and made 5 errors. Livingston Academy scored 13 runs on 11 hits and made 5 errors.

DeKalb County scored 5 runs in the 3rd and 4th innings, 4 runs in the 5th, 2 runs in the 6th, and 1 run in the 7th inning.

Livingston Academy scored 4 runs in the 2nd inning, 3 runs in the 5th, 5 runs in the 6th, and 1 run in the 7th inning.

Emme Colwell was the winning pitcher.

Allison Maynard had a homerun and single. Megan Walker had 3 triples and a single. Kenzie France and Kelly Roberts each had a double and single.

Maddison Parsley with 4 singles, Emme Colwell had 2 singles and Joni Robinson and Braya Murphy each had a single.




Tigerettes Win Big at Carthage

The DCHS Tigerettes blew past Smith County 20 to 2 Friday at Carthage.

DeKalb County scored 20 runs on 20 hits and made no errors. Smith County scored 2 runs on 6 hits and made 4 errors.

The Tigerettes scored 6 runs in the 1st inning, 9 runs in the 2nd inning, and 5 runs in the 4th inning. Smith County scored 2 runs in the 2nd inning.

Madison Whitehead was the winning pitcher.

Madison Parsley had 2 singles and a double. Kelly Roberts had a double and single. Allison Maynard doubled. Megan Walker, Emme Colwell, and Kristena Bain each had 2 singles. Kenzie France and Braya Murphy had 3 singles and Joni Robinson and Justise Dawson singled.




Tigerettes Beat Macon County on Walk-Off Homerun in 8th Inning

The DCHS Tigerettes defeated Macon County 4 to 2 on a walk-off homerun in the 8th inning Thursday in Smithville.

Allison Maynard delivered the homerun in the bottom of the 8th to give the Tigerettes the victory.

The game was tied 1 to 1 by the end of the 7th inning. Macon County scored 1 run in the 3rd inning and DeKalb County got 1 run in the 5th inning.

Macon County scored the go ahead run in the 8th inning leading 2 to 1 but the Tigerettes rallied in the bottom of the inning scoring 3 runs on the homerun to win 4 to 2.

The Tigerettes scored 4 runs on 9 hits and made 2 errors. Macon County scored 2 runs on 8 hits and made no errors.

Emme Colwell was the winning pitcher.

Allison Maynard had a homerun and single. Emme Colwell doubled. Joni Robinson and Kristena Bain each had 2 singles. Maddison Parsley and Megan Walker each singled.




DCHS Tennis Season in Full Swing

The DCHS Tennis teams are in full swing. Currently, the DCHS boys team hold an overall team record of 5 wins – 1 loss. The Tigers have match wins over Cumberland Co., Livingston Academy, White Co., Cannon Co., and Warren Co. while losing only to Cookeville. The Lady Tigers are currently 1 – 5 with a win over Livingston Academy. In boys singles competition Lance Davis, Dosson Medlin, and Garrett Hayes all have 4 – 2 records while Eli Cantrell holds a 3 – 2 record with Justin Washer at 2 – 2 and Ethan Cantrell at 2 – 3. In the girls singles Catherine Caplinger is currently 3 – 3, Faith Judkins and Jhoany Gaspar are 1 – 4, Kayla Belk 1 – 5, Shelby Clayborn 1-3, Daisy Hernandez 0-5, Marlene Corinilla 0-3, and Hannah McBride 0-1. High School tennis matches consist of six singles matches and three doubles matches with the winner being first team to five total wins. The Tigers and Lady Tigers have the mid-season district tournament coming up Friday and Saturday April 13 and 14 in Cookeville. The team have matches with Watertown April 16th and Cannon Co. April 17th. The team district finals and semi finals will be later this month while the individual district tournament will be May 2-4. The DCHS tennis coach is Seth Willoughby.




Tigerettes Top Watertown 11-1

The DCHS Tigerettes defeated Watertown in Smithville Tuesday 11 to 1.

DeKalb County scored 11 runs on 14 hits and made 1 error. Watertown scored 1 run on 3 hits and made 1 error.

The Tigerettes scored 7 runs in the 1st inning and 4 runs in the 4th inning. Watertown scored 1 run in the 5th inning.

Emme Colwell was the winning pitcher with 7 strikeouts.

Kenzie France had a grand slam homerun and a single. Joni Robinson had a double and single. Kelly Roberts had a double and single. Allison Maynard, Braya Murphy, and Kristena Bain each had 2 singles and Maddison Parsley and Emme Colwell singled.
