DCHS at Warren County Tonight (Monday)

The DCHS basketball teams will be in McMinnville tonight to face Warren County.

The girls game tips off at 6 p.m. followed by the boys contest. WJLE will have LIVE coverage with the voice of the Tigers and Lady Tigers John Pryor.

Both the Tigers and Lady Tigers won Saturday night beating Van Buren County in the Hall of Champions in Smithville. The Lady Tigers got a 68 to 45 victory while the Tigers won 103 to 65. Last Tuesday, in the Hall of Champions against Pickett County the Lady Tigers lost 73 to 68 while the Tigers fell 52 to 49.

DCHS Class of 2019 Project Graduation Fundraisers

*The DCHS Class of 2019 Project Graduation and Belk Grocery and Sporting Goods are sponsoring a drawing for a $400 gift certificate to be given away on Monday, December 3 at the store. The certificate can be used for firearms, archery, bait and tackle, or anything else in the store, even bologna sandwiches. Tickets are $5.00 each or 5 for $20. Proceeds benefit Project Graduation.

Two More Persons Arrested on Grand Jury Sealed Indictments

Two more persons have been served with sealed indictments handed down by a recent special session of the grand jury after an undercover investigation by the Sheriff’s Department.

18 year old James Edward Anstis of Brush Creek is indicted for theft of property. His bond is $2,000 and he will be arraigned in criminal court on December 11.

46 year old Arthur Bradley Webb of Meridian Drive, Smithville is indicted for two counts of sale and delivery of a schedule VI drug (marijuana). His bond is $25,000 and he will be arraigned December 11.

Meanwhile, 40 year old Ryan Lyons of Barron Bluff Road, Smithville is cited for violation of the light law, no insurance, and simple possession of a schedule II drug (Oxycodone). 25 year old Josie Danielle Culwell of Eagle Creek Road, Smithville is cited for possession of drug paraphernalia. Their court date is December 6.

Sheriff Patrick Ray said that on Tuesday, November 6 a deputy pulled over a vehicle on College Street in Liberty for a light law violation (head light out). The driver, Lyons was found to have two oxycodone pills in a small bottle in his pocket for which he could provide no prescription. Lyons also could not provide proof of insurance.

Culwell was a passenger of the vehicle and while searching her bag, the officer found a purple marijuana grinder and a purple straw both with residue along with a razor and credit card.

25 year old Kacy Renee Davenport of High Street, Alexandria is cited for simple possession of a schedule III drug (subooxone). Sheriff Ray said that on Tuesday, November 6 a deputy made contact with Davenport, who has an active warrant against her, and found her to have one small orange pill believed to be suboxone.

33 year old Michael Andrew Snyders of West Main Street, Smithville is cited simple possession of a schedule VIdrug(marijuana) and schedule IV drug (xanax). His court date is December 6.

Sheriff Ray said that on Thursday, November 8 a detective was called to a store on Highway 70 west, Dowelltown after Snyders had been spotted putting a pair of sunglasses in his pocket trying to conceal them. A search of Snyders’ person turned up 0.61 grams of marijuana which was in a container. Found in his pocket was a glucose test strip bottle containing 21 whole pills and three half pills of Xanax.
