White County proved to be too much for the DCHS basketball teams Tuesday night at Sparta. The Lady Tigers lost 62 to 32 and the Tigers were defeated 73 to 39.
The Lady Tigers found themselves trailing 13 to 5 after the 1st period and 24 to 12 at halftime. White County continued to dominate in the second half leading 45 to 19 after the 3rd period before going on to win 62 to 32.
Madison Martin scored 9 for DC. Summer Crook and Mya Ruch each with 5. Gracie Griffin, Megan Cantrell, and Megan Walker each with 3 and Kenzie France and Emme Colwell each scored 2.
The Tigers were outscored 13 to 10 in the 1st period of the boys game and trailed 39 to 16 at halftime. White County led 58 to 30 after the 3rd period and went on to defeat the Tigers 73 to 39.
Evan Jones led the Tigers in scoring with 11. Elishah Ramos and Dallas Cook each had 6, Luke Jenkins 5, Michael Elswick 4. Stetson Agee 3. Ian Jones 2 and Alan Munoz and Zach Birmingham each with 1.
DeKalb County will host Red Boiling Springs Friday night, November 29 starting with the girls game at 6 p.m. WJLE will have LIVE coverage.
