The DCHS Tigers snapped a six game losing streak Tuesday night with a 65 to 56 victory over the visiting Livingston Academy Wildcats. The Lady Tigers lost their game 53 to 49.
The Tigers led 26 to 14 after the 1st period, 31 to 30 at halftime, and 49 to 38 after the 3rd period before going on to win 65 to 56.
Lucas Hale led the Tigers in scoring with 26 followed by Dallas Cook 17, Jordan Young 9, Evan Jones 8, Luke Jenkins 3, and Elisha Ramos with 2.
In the girls game, DC trailed 14 to 9 after the 1st period, 30 to 20 at halftime, and 36 to 28 after the 3rd period before falling 53 to 49 to the Lady Wildcats.
Kadee Ferrell scored 16, Emme Colwell 14, Kenzie France and Megan Walker each with 6, Mya Ruch 4, and Megan Cantrell with 3.
The Tigers and Lady Tigers are now 3-6 overall and 1-2 in the district.
The Tigers will compete in the Watertown Christmas Tournament Thursday through Saturday, December 19-21. On Thursday night the Tigers will face Lebanon at 5:30 p.m. and on Friday DeKalb County will face Cookeville. The Lady Tigers will see again next week in the Daytona Beach Shootout in Florida.
