The DCHS Tigerettes shutout Central Magnet 11-0 on the road Friday.
DeKalb opened up scoring in the first inning when Jacey Hatfield homered on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs. The Tigerettes scored four more runs in the fourth inning with RBIs by Morgan Walker, Aly Griffith, and Ellie Cripps.
Cripps earned the victory on the rubber. The righthander pitched a four hit shutout over six innings, striking out three and walking one.
The losing pitcher for Central Magnet surrendered nine runs on seven hits over four innings, striking out two.
The Tigerettes tallied nine hits including two each by Hatfield and Bri Murphy to lead the team. Walker had three of DeKalb’s ten stolen bases.
