Tigerettes Finish 1-3 in Gordonsville Tournament

The DCHS Tigerettes finished 1-3 in the Gordonsville Tournament Friday and Saturday.

The Tigerettes lost to Farragut 10 to 1 and twice to Morristown East 5 to 0 and 7 to 3. DeKalb County defeated Bremen 7 to 2.

DeKalb County will host Livingston Academy Tuesday, March 20 at 4:30 p.m.

In their first game of the Gordonsville Tournament, the Tigerettes lost to Farragut 10 to 1.

Farragut scored 7 runs in the 1st inning and 3 runs in the 4th inning. DeKalb County scored 1 run in the 5th inning.

Farragut scored 10 runs on 8 hits and made no errors. DeKalb County scored 1 run on 1 hit and made no errors.

Hailey Redmon was the losing pitcher.

Emme Colwell hit a homerun

In the second game, the Tigerettes defeated Bremen.

DeKalb County scored 2 runs in the 3rd inning and 5 runs in the 4th inning. Bremen scored 2 runs in the 3rd inning.

The Tigerettes scored 7 runs on 11 hits and made 1 error. Bremen scored 2 runs on 3 hits and made no errors.

Kenzie France was the winning pitcher. She also had a homerun.

Megan Walker had 2 singles. Maddison Parsley singled. Joni Robinson and Allison Maynard each had a single and double. Kristena Bain singled and Kelly Roberts had a double.

In the third game, the Tigerettes were shutout by Morristown East 3 to 0. They scored 1 run in the 1st inning and 2 runs in the 3rd inning. Morristown East had 5 hits. Neither team committed an error. Emme Colwell was the losing pitcher.

In the fourth and final game for the Tigerettes, DeKalb County lost to Morristown East 7 to 3 in the first game of bracket play of the tournament.

Morristown East scored 1 run in the 1st inning, 5 runs in the 2nd inning, and 1 run in the 4th inning. DeKalb County scored 1 run in the 1st inning and 2 runs in the 2nd inning.

Morristown East got 7 runs on 7 hits and made no errors. The Tigerettes scored 3 runs on 5 hits and made no errors. Madison Whitehead was the losing pitcher.

Megan Walker had 2 singles. Joni Robinson and Emme Colwell singled and Kenzi France reached on a double.
