DCHS Teams Drop to 2-3 After Losses to Red Boiling Springs

The DCHS basketball teams have dropped to 2-3 on the season after dropping home games to Red Boiling Springs Friday night in Smithville. The Lady Tigers lost 47 to 33 and the Tigers were beatenĀ  59 to 35.

The DeKalb County girls trailed 18 to 9 after the 1st period, 33 to 15 at halftime, and 37 to 27 after the 3rd period before losing 47 to 33.

Emme Colwell scored 11, Megan Cantrell 6, Mya Ruch and Summer Crook each with 4, Megan Walker and Kenzie France each with 3 and Gracie Griffin 2.

The Tigers and Bulldogs were tied at 14 after the 1st period but DC trailed 27 to 20 at halftime and 38 to 30 after the 3rd period before falling 59 to 35.

Michael Elswick scored 10. Dakota White 7, Evan Jones 6, Zachary Birmingham and Luke Jenkins each with 3, and Dallas Cook, Ean Jones, and Elishah Ramos each with 2.

DeKalb County will open their district schedule Friday, December 6 at home against York Institute starting with the girls game at 6 p.m. WJLE will have LIVE coverage.
