Thelma Jean Owens age 76, passed away Monday March 4, 2024, at her residence. She was born July 13, 1947, to her parents the late Reed and Pauline Overbey Owens. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Owens; 2 brothers, Curtis Owens and Daniel Owens. Ms. Owens was a Christian and a Homemaker. She is survived by children, Michelle Curtis of Dowelltown, Patrick Connors of Smithville, and Michael Connors of Smithville; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive; sister, Ruby Rigsby of Rock Island; brother, Bobby Owens of Ohio. A Graveside service will be held Friday, March 8, 2024, at 11:00AM at DeKalb Cemetery with Bro. Michael Hale officiating. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery at 11:00AM. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is honored to care for the Owens family.
