71-year-old Shirley Marie Hale of Alexandria died Sunday at her daughter’s home. She was a homemaker. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria. Wilson Williams will officiate and burial will be in the Hale Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 4-8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until the service at 2 p.m. She was preceded in death by her parents, Buddy Bain and Esta Mai Anderson; husband, James E. Hale; Son, Jamie Carl Hale; brothers, Jerry Bain, Turney Bain, and Buddy Bain, Jr.; and sisters, Henrietta Estes, Rachel Taylor and Caroline Braswell. She is survived by her daughter Glenda and Jeff Curtis of Alexandria. Granddaughter, Savannah and Jonathan French of Alexandria. A brother, David Carl and Sandra Bain. Several great nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends survive. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Anderson Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
