Mrs. Reba Mae Knowles age 93 of Smithville passed away Friday morning, April 24, 2020 at the Webb House Retirement Home.
She was born on April 8, 1927 in Smithville to her parents, the late Everett & Wilma Taylor Poss. Mrs. Reba was a member of Mt. View The Baptist Church and was retired from the DeKalb County School System having worked at the Middle School.
In accordance with the Governors Executive Order Number 17 regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no public visitation. Private Graveside Services for the family will be held on Sunday, April 26, 2020 at Young Bend Cemetery. Bro. Dwight Knowles will officiate.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Clifton Knowles. Daughter, Sandra Knowles & 3 Brothers, Clifton, Mason & Glynn Poss. Survivors include her Son, Dwight (Donna) Knowles & Daughter, Vickie Knowles both of Smithville. 2 Grandchildren, Shelly (Chad) Jennings & Jared (Karen) Knowles both of Smithville. 4 Great Grandchildren, Hunter & Emma Jennings, Isaac & Katherine Knowles. Brother, Dean Poss of Smithville. Sister, Wanda (Edd) Hidgon of Gallatin. Sisters- in- law, John Ann Poss of Smithville, Peggy Poss & Ina Mae Cantrell both of Nashville. Several Nieces & Nephews also survive.
In addition to flowers, donations can be made to the Young Bend Cemetery Fund in memory of Mrs. Reba.
