Nonnie Vanderpool Tramel

88 year old Nonnie Vanderpool Tramel of Smithville passed away Sunday at NHC Healthcare Center. She was a homemaker and a member of the Dry Creek Baptist Church. The funeral will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Donald Owens will officiate and burial will be in the Snow Hill Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from noon until 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the service at 1 p.m. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Mattie Bonham Vanderpool; husband, Riley “Frosty” Tramel; five brothers, Frank, Bill, Steve, Paul, and J.D. Vanderpool; and three sisters, Annie and Ida Vanderpool and Flonnie Fletcher. Survivors include four sons, Ralph and Peggy Tramel of Smithville, Reece and Maggie Tramel of Dowelltown, Riley and Peggy Tramel of Liberty, and Bruce Tramel of Smithville. One daughter, Cathy and William Bumpous of LaVergne. Nine grandchildren, Charlie and Brenda Tramel of Liberty, Crystal and Michael Young of Smithville, James and Stephanie Tramel of Centertown, Amanda Tramel of Smithville, Adam Tramel of Rock Island, Katrina and Michael Yost of Smithville, Brandon Tramel of Alexandria, Jamie and Mark Trusty of Murfreesboro, and Keith Hutchings of Manchester. Eight step grandchildren, Tina and John Woodall of Indiana, Tammy and Mike Kijanski, Nitia and Jason Wagner, and Brandy and Sean Higgins all of Smithville, Darren Rhea of Dowelltown, William, Bobby, and Jennifer Bumpous all of Nashville. Twenty great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren. Two sisters-in-law, Ruby Carter of Smithville and Evelyn Vanderpool of Murfreesboro. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
