49 year old Mike Billings of the Johnson Chapel Community of DeKalb County passed away Thursday at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was a member of the Johnson Chapel Free Will Baptist Church and a retired Detective of the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department. The funeral will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Jackie Miller and Bernard Houk will officiate and burial will be in Johnson Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from noon until 9 p.m.; Sunday from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m.; and Monday from 10 a.m. until the service at 2 p.m. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ernest and Edith Cantrell and Ray and Clara Billings. Survivors include his parents, R.V. and Brenda Billings of DeKalb County. Aunt, Phyllis Cantrell Malone. Special aunts, Janice Cantrell and Deborah Cantrell Luna of DeKalb County, Frances Billings of Warren County, and Alma Billings of DeKalb County and an uncle, Claude Billings of DeKalb County. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
