56 year old Michael Anthony Murphy of Liberty died Monday on Old Mill Hill Road in Smithville. He was a Baptist and a self-employed painter. The funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Howard Carroll will officiate and burial will be in the Gunter-Grizzle Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 1-8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until the service at 1 p.m. He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Edward Murphy. Survivors include a daughter, Felicia Murphy of Ohio. A son, Matthew Murphy of Nashville. Granddaughter, Brenna Orbgast of Ohio. Mother, Jackie Christine Murphy of Liberty. Brothers, Larry Murphy, Lee R. Murphy, and Jeff Murphy all of Ohio. Aunts and uncles, Sue and Vernon Lee Bogle of Woodbury, Toy and Faye Lawson of Liberty, and Eula and Robert Presley of McMinnville. Several nieces and nephews and two great great nephews also survive. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
