Funeral services for Mrs. Mary “Emaline”London, age 91 will be held Thursday, July 8th at 1:00 p.m. in the Cookeville chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Jeff London and Brett Flowers will officiate. Interment will follow in Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery.

Her family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Social distancing and masks are appreciated.

Mrs. London died Thursday July 1, 2021 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

She was born October 30, 1929 in Grundy County, TN to the late George Pocus and Millie Barker McCullough. She attended Grundy County High School.

Emaline was a homemaker and later worked at Park View school. She also served as the director for the Cookeville Senior Citizen’s Meals on Wheels Program. She was a long time member of Park View Methodist Church (Friendship United Methodist Church). She loved everyone and was loved by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughter, Vicki Vickers; brother, Jerry Pocus; and by sisters, Anna Meadows and Yvonne Wachob.

Mrs. London is survived by, as she called them her “precious” family, her husband of nearly 73 years, Jim London; daughters, Jill (Gary) Flatt of Cookeville and Sharon (George) Simmons of Signal Mountain, TN; son, Steve (Debbie) London of Smithville; son-in-law, Cleston Vickers; sister, Donna Dixon of Jasper, TN; grandchildren, Jeff (Dana) London, Danielle (Brett) Flowers, Christy Vickers, Andy Simmons and Kelly (Andy) Beck; great grandchilren, Eli Flowers, Caleb (Libby LaFever) London, Courtney London, Piper Beck and Griffin Beck; and by great-great grandson, Jonah London.

Brett Flowers, Caleb London, Cleston Vickers, Jeff London, Andy Simmons, Andy Beck and Griffin Beck will serve as pallbearers.

A special thank you to Dr. Kathy Bertram for all her years of care. Also a thank you to CRMC’s 6 East staff for taking such good care of her.
