Mary Ann Simms Goodwin(Ann) passed away peacefully surrounded by family on November 25, 2020. She was born to William James Simms and Zettie Florence Tittsworth Simms on August 8 1932; preceeded in death by husband of 67 years, Joe Goodwin. Survived by six children – Ronnie (Deborah), Beth (Tom) Newkirk, Bill, Joey (Kathy), Pam (Gary) Green, and Jill (Doug) Omer. Nine grandchildren, – Scott (Amanda) Goodwin, Matt Goodwin, Tommy and Michael Newkirk, Grant (Taylor) Goodwin, Katelyn Goodwin, Wesley (Melissa) Young, Olivia and Hope Omer. Eight great-grandchildren – Cooper and Kiptyn Goodwin, Jordan, Wyatt and Kaitlin Newkirk, Wyatt and Lanie Young, and Charlotte Rose Goodwin. Sister – Sallye (Jim) Sykes and brother – Fred (Pat) Simms. Numerous nieces and nephews, and special friend and caregiver, Janet Greer. A private family graveside service was officiated by Brother Terry Little with internment at DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Love Cantrell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
