Lynda Fay Poss age 77, of Smithville, passed away Friday December 3, 2021 at St. Thomas DeKalb Hospital ER. She was born April 30, 1944 to her parents, the late Jvan and Eveleen Wilhoite Walls. She was a member of the Copelands Chapel Freewill Baptist Church and worked at Century Electric and was a Homemaker. Mrs. Poss is survived by her husband of 58 years, Don Poss of Smithville; 2 sons, Greg (Lisa) Poss of Old Hickory, and Jeff (Christine) Poss of Nashville; grandchildren, Oliver Michael Poss, Abigail and Olivia Julian; 2 aunts, Earlene Olson and Marie Walls both of Smithville; several cousins also survive. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 6, 2021 at 3:00PM at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Michael Hale officiating and burial to follow in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday, December 5, 2021 at 1:00 PM until 5:00PM and on Monday 10:00AM until the time of the service at 3:00PM. In addition to flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. The funeral home lounge is closed at this time and no food or drinks are allowed in the funeral home. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
