35 year old Joshua Rhyan Cripps passed away Thursday March 26, 2020, at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was a construction worker. In accordance with the Executive Order Number 17 regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no public visitation with the family. There will be a private graveside service for Joshua on Sunday, March 29, 2020 at the Linder-Hodges Family Circle Cemetery in DeKalb County with Bro. Mike Carpenter officiating. Joshua was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Doris Cripps, and aunts, Melissa Cripps and Mary Sue Hodges Guff. He is survived by his mother, Barbara and Billy Stewart of Smithville; father, Joey and Staci Cripps of Dowelltown; sisters, Sabrina Cripps, Nicole and David Cobb, and Jessica and Barrett Holubek, all of Smithville; brothers, Justin Goodman, Marcus Cripps, and Alex Cripps, all of Smithville; maternal grandparents, Homer Hodges and Patricia Linder, of Smithville; paternal grandparents, Billy Joe and Ann Cripps, of Dowelltown; nephew, Layne Cobb; nieces, Kaydanze Cobb, Raylen Holubek, all of Smithville and Kayleigh Goodman of Alexandria. In lieu of flowers or memorials, the family requests donations be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses. Cards for the family may be mailed to the funeral home and they will be delivered to the family.
