Johnathan (John Hardy) Lesley Lewis age 41 of Smithville, was released from this life on Wednesday December 2, 2020 at his residence in Smithville. He was a very kind person and helped everyone he cam in contact with. He loved all kinds of music and classic automobiles. John was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dudley and Juanita Carrick Lewis and Fred and Ruth Augustin Pelham; special aunt, Gail McCulla Pelham; 2 first cousins, Glen W. Waggoner and Michael Pelham; 1 nephew, Brannon Rochefort; 2 uncles, Glen A. Waggoner and Alfred Robert Helmut Pelham; his father, Paul Dudley Lewis, I. Those left to cherish his memory are include his mother, Helen Pelham Lewis Lowry of Smithville; 3 brothers, Dudley (Annette) Lewis of McMinnville, Eric (Angel) Lewis of Morrison and Victor Lewis of Smithville; 1 sister, Amber (Kris) Orlando of Cookeville, 2 aunts, Brenda Davis of Algood and Pamela Yates of McMinnville; 1 son, Gabe Lewis and his mother, Lori Crook Lewis of Smithville; 2 daughters, Indra and Amiya Lewis and his girlfriend, Bridgett Atnip of Smithville; many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, friends and cousins also survive. Funeral services will be 1 PM Saturday, December 5, 2020 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Michael Hale officiating and burial to follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery in McMinnville. Visitation with the family will be Saturday 11 AM until the time of the service at 1 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to DeKalb Funeral Chapel to help with funeral expenses. Due to Covid-19 and social distancing guidelines, we ask for the health and safety of everyone that you please exercise social distancing. The pews in the funeral home chapel are marked off to allow 100-125 people for the service. The funeral home lounge is closed at this time and no food or drinks are allowed in the funeral home at this time. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
