Jessie Lee Vanatta

93 year old Jessie Lee Vanatta of Liberty passed away Friday at NHC Healthcare Center in Smithville. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria. Thurman Seber and David Moody will officiate and burial will be in Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 2-8 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. until the service. She was preceded in death by her parents,  J.W. Robinson and Shellie Cooper Robinson; her husband of 50 years Buford Neal Vanatta; two brothers, Truitt Robinson and Stephen Edward Robinson; a sister Melodia Mathis; four brothers-in-law, Austin Rhody, Walter Carter, Elzie McBride, and Earnest Mathis. She is survived by children,  Jerry Paul and Gay Vanatta of Watertown, Joyce and John David Foutch of Alexandria, Patsy and Nick Nokes of Liberty, and Kristie Vanatta of Smithville. Grandchildren, Libby and Daniel Kelly, Jeremy and Sarah Vanatta, Ethan and Giuliani Vanatta, Jennifer and Eric Hogeland, Daniel and Lacy Foutch, and Nick and Susan Nokes. Seven great grandchildren. A brother, Robert and Roberta Robinson of Liberty. Sisters, Lena Rhody, Bertha McBride, and Lavelle and Willie Turner. Sister-in-law, Margie Robinson and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. A special thank you to NHC Healthcare, special nurses Brian Cripps, Thomas Mahler, and Nicole Cool, and to Caris Hospice for their loving care. Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria is in charge of the arrangements.
