Mr. Calvin “Casey” Jones age 76 of Smithville passed away Wednesday morning, April 22, 2020 at his residence.
Calvin was born on December 19, 1943 in Sacramento, CA to his parents the late J.C. & Rebecca Lowery Jones. Also preceding him in death is his son, James Brian Jones. Calvin had just recently retired from a lifelong career of farming. He was a member of the DeKalb County Cattleman’s Association, a former board member of the DeKalb Farmers Co-op & he was of the Baptist faith.
In accordance with the Governors Executive Order Number 17 regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no public visitation. Private Graveside services for the family will be held on Friday, April 24, 2020 at DeKalb Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Beverly Tittsworth Jones of Smithville. 2 Daughters, Tamera (Brad) Vaughn of Lebanon & Pam Baumann (Terry Daniel) of Smithville. 3 Grandchildren, Brian Baumann of Smithville, Ashley (James) Smith of Mt. Juliet & Allen Ivey of Mt. Juliet. 3 Great Grandchildren & the loves of his life, Anniston Ivey, Preston & Madison Smith. Sister, Susan Young of Smithville. Special Nieces & Nephews also survive.
In addition to flowers donations can be made to the DeKalb County Cattleman’s Association for a Scholarship Fund in memory of Calvin.
