Billy Joe Walker, age 68, a Warren County, TN resident and native was born May 22, 1950 and passed away December 4, 2018 in St. Thomas River Park Hospital following a three-month illness.
He was a self-employed nurseryman, retired cabinet maker and son of the late Sidney White and Berton Tate Walker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three siblings, Kenneth Wade Walker, Charles Edward “Butch” Walker and Sidney White Walker, Jr.
Mr. Walker was married March 27, 1971 to Judy Taylor Walker who survives. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Vickie Bain (Cody Qualls) and Steven Walker (Dawn Grandey) all of McMinnville; two grandchildren, Cody Joe and Caleb Walker; sister, Pamela (Dale) Ball of Smithville; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 7, 2018 in High’s Chapel with Dennis Clark to officiate. Interment will follow in Mt. View Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and 10:00 a.m. Friday until the time of service at High’s.

Marie Dale Stephens

Marie Dale Stephens age 86 of Ooltewah, TN and a native of DeKalb County passed away Tuesday morning at her residence. She was born December 26, 1931 to her parents, the late Rev. Dewey and Nina Macon Dale Martin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Stephens; 3 sisters, Estelle Baker, Genelle Dodd and LaVelle Smith; 2 brothers, William Martin and Charles Martin. Marie was a member of the Smithville First Baptist Church and a hairdresser for over 30 years. She leaves to cherish her memory, 2 sons, Michael (Cyrethia) Stephens of Ooltewah, Mark (Cindy) Stephens of Knoxville; 4 grandchildren, Maci (Chad) O’Connor, Hana Stephens, Mica Stephens and Joshua Stephens; 2 great-grandsons, Macon and Patton O’Connor; 1 sister, Helen Swann of Knoxville and 1 brother, Royce Martin of Liberty. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, December 7, 2018 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Royce Martin officiating and burial will follow in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be on Thursday 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Friday 10:AM until the time of the service at 1 p.m.. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Amy Davenport Stanley age 41 of McMinnville, TN, (Blues Hill Community) died Saturday, December 01, 2018, at her residence. She was born May 17, 1977, in Smithville, TN, was a factory worker with Tenneco Automotive, and attended New Bildad Primitive Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by grandparents Emma Bell and Morgan Cantrell, and John and Betty Davenport, a nephew Jaythan Johnson, father-in-law Steve “Pappy” Stanley, and mother-in-law Lucy Stanley.
Survivors include her husband Paul Stanley, children Jasmine Saylors Kilgore and husband Ryan and Duston Saylors, siblings Christy (Joseph) Arnold, Jennifer Johnson and fiancée Timmy Ellis, and Billy Johnson, parents Doug Davenport and Brenda Johnson and her fiancée Ronnie Walker, nieces and nephews Yasmin and Lealon Arnold, Jaira, Jase, Alexis, Whitny, Dalton, and Bryson Johnson, and special friend Amy Lawson. Many aunts, uncles, cousins, family members and friends also survive.
Funeral service will be conducted at 2:30 P.M. Tuesday, December 04, 2018, in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Elder Ricky Arnold will officiate. Interment will follow at Blues Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and again Tuesday from 10:30 A.M. until 2:30 P.M. at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home.

51 year old Jonathan Wayne Adcock of Smithville passed away Wednesday, November 28 at his residence. He was employed at Smithport Cabinetry. The family has chosen direct cremation and a memorial service will be announced at a later date. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Adcock; grandparents, Haston and Rose Adcock; and two uncles, Danny and Ronald Adcock. He is survived by his father, Gary Adcock of Smithville. Sister Holly and Dale Bryant of Dowelltown. Two uncles, Eddie and Kimberlee Adcock of Michigan and Kenneth Adcock of Arizona. Niece, Destiny and Travis Pendergraff of Smithville and nephew, Devin Thomas of Smithville. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
James Robert Reasonover

Mr. James Robert Reasonover, age 83, of Alexandria, TN, passed away on Wednesday, November 28, 2018.
Mr. Reasonover was born in the Sykes Community of Smith County, TN, on march 11, 1935, the son of the late James Ernest “Stokes” Reasonover and Ruth Kyle Reasonover. He was a 1956 graduate of Gordonsville High School. Mr. Reasonover served his country in the United States Air Force for four years. He worked for TRW/Ross Gear for several years until his retirement. Mr. Reasonover was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church. He married Jean Parkerson on July 11, 1964.
Mr. Reasonover is survived by Wife of 54 years; Jean Parkerson Reasonover of Alexandria, TN. Two Sons; Larry Reasonover of Thompson Station, TN, and Robby (Rachel) Reasonover of Chapel Hill, TN. Four Grandchildren; Andy Reasonover, Katie Choi, John Reasonover, and Micah Reasonover. Sister; Marion Winfree. Nephew; Brice Winfree. Two Nieces; Freda (Chester) Jordan and Sandra Dowdy. A host of friends and family also survive.
Funeral Services for Mr. Reasonover are scheduled to be conducted from Avant Funeral Home onFriday, November 30, 2018 at 2PM with Bro. Ricky Scruggs and Danny Parkerson officiating. Interment will follow in the New Hope Cemetery.
Visitation with the Reasonover Family will be at Avant Funeral Home on Thursday from 12 Noon until 8PM and on Friday after 10AM until service time at 2PM.

Rex Alan Droste age 61 of Liberty passed away Tuesday night, November 27, 2018 at St. Thomas DeKalb Hospital ER. He was born February 1, 1957 to his parents, Leo and Evelyn Jacobson Droste. He was a published author, worked at IBM, he sang at NHC HealthCare and the Webb House and was a member of the Webb’s Chapel United Methodist Church. He is survived by 2 children; companion, Anne Thiel of Liberty; parents, Leo and Evelyn Droste of Lebanon; siblings, Roxanne Burleigh of Lebanon, Paul (Joani) Droste of Portland, Connie Benson (Doug Conyer) of Westmoreland, Mark Droste (Barbara) of Murfreesboro and Cheryl (Larry) Flanery of Westmoreland; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. There will be a Celebration of Life Service held 11:AM Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Webb’s Chapel United Methodist Church with Bro. David Hill officiating. Visitation with the family will be on Saturday 10:AM until the time of the service at 11:AM.
