Norma Hale

Norma Hale age 96 of Smithville, TN and formerly of Tompkinsville, KY went home to be with the Lord on Sunday morning, May 2, 2021 at the Webb House in Smithville. She was born November 13, 1924 in England to her parents, the late Jack and Olive Scrivner Knight. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Hale; grandson, Chris (Kim) Lee and great-grandson, Tyler Lee. Ms. Norma was a member of the Church of England and worked on the farm. She leaves to cherish her memory, 2 daughters, Jennifer (Bobby) Lee of Smithville and Janice (Frank) Belcher of Greenfield, IN; 4 grandchildren, Patrick Lee, Clarissa Lee, Eric (Carol) Belcher, Jill Yarber; 6 great-grandchildren, Dustin Lee, Heather (Dewayne) Cope, Lauren (Timothy) Dobbs, Makenzie Yarber, Matthew Belcher and Brittany Belcher; 6 great-great-grandchildren, Addilyn Cope, Avery Cope, Kaleb Belcher, William Belcher, Annabelle Lee and Kenneth Dobbs. There will be a private graveside service held at the Memorial Lawn and Gardens in Tompkinsville, KY with Bro. Michael Hale officiating. There will not be any visitation or services held at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in memory of Ms. Norma. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.




Donna Marie Page Martin

Donna Marie Page Martin, age 68, passed away Friday, April 30, 2021 at St. Thomas Hospital West. She was born December 7, 1952 to her parents the late Hubert and Bessie Clemmons Page. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Doreta Scott. Ms. Martin was a member of Nazarene Church and worked at Federal Mogul for 17 years. She is survived by 3 daughters, Susan Martin of Smithville, Jeanie Martin of Smithville, and Kimberly Martin of McMinnville; 10 grandchildren, Bryan Duncan, Jesse Martin, Brandon Williams, Jacob Williams, Maria Reyes-Ortiz, Fermin Reyes-Ortiz, Lucas Reyes-Ortiz, Jr., Julia Ingram, Lalo Jimenez, and Esparanza Martin; sister, Fay Baker of Smithville; brothers, Paul Page of Shelbyville, Phillip Page of Smithville, Michael Page of Alexandria. Due to COVID-19, we ask for the health and safety of everyone that you please exercise social distancing. The funeral lounge is closed at this time and NO food or drinks are allowed in the funeral home. Funeral services will be Tuesday May 4, 2021 at 1:00PM at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with burial in the Roan Page Family Cemetery. Visitation will be 11:AM Tuesday until the time of the service at 1:PM. Zachary Tyler Parsley

Zachary Tyler Parsley, age 22, of Smithville passed away on Friday, April 30, 2021 at Vanderbilt Hospital.

Zachary was born on March 18, 1999 in Murfreesboro, TN to his parents, Jeremy and Sonya Linder Parsley. Preceding him in death is his grandfather, Maxie Parsley and one uncle, Joey Parsley. He was a senior at Tennessee Tech University and a member of Temple Baptist Church.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 from 12 noon to 6:00 pm and Thursday, May 6, 2021 from 10am until funeral time at 2:00 pm. in the chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Bro. Shannon Cantrell will be officiating. Burial will be in DeKalb Cemetery. We are not accepting food in the kitchen at this time.

Survivors include his parents, Jeremy and Sonya Parsley of Smithville; 1 sister, Maddison Parsley of Smithville and 1 brother, Nicholas Parsley of Smithville; maternal grandparents, Bobby and Peggy Linder of Smithville; paternal grandmother, Ruby Parsley of Smithville; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Daniel Ray Page age 44 of Smithville, passed away Wednesday April 28, 2021 in Columbia, TN. He was born April 27, 1977 to his parents, Jerry Page and Deborah Griffith Page. He was non-denominational and worked in construction. He is survived by 5 children, Samantha Page (Zachary) Kendall of McMinnville, Braxton Page of Alexandria, Noah Page, Elijah Page, and Abigail Page all of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Alaina Page Adcock, and Emilya Kendall; mother, Deborah Page of Smithville; father, Jerry Page of Morrison; 2 brothers, Jimmy Page of Smithville and Brent (Rhonda) Matthews of Woodbury; niece and nephew, Madison & Hunter Matthews; special cousin, David Griffith; several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins; lifelong friend, Tina Cagle. David Edward Page

April 29, 2021

David Edward Page age 68 of Watertown, died Tuesday morning, April 27, 2021 at Wilson Manor in Lebanon. Born Sept. 25, 1952 in Camp Carson, CO, he was the son of Katie Ruth Page and the late Willis Edward Page and was preceded in death by his sister, Marcia Page. David served in the Army National Guard and was a longtime employee of the Singer Sewing Machine Co. He is survived by his daughters, Magan (Sonny) Mask and Kris Granstaff both of Watertown; grandchildren, Lucas and Cody Paris and Amber and Aiden Granstaff; mother, Katie Ruth Page of Alexandria; brother, Danny Page of Alexandria; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, April 30, 2021 at Hunter Funeral Home in Watertown with Bro. David Lawson officiating. Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Friday. Glenda Watson, age 55, of Petersburg, TN, passed away on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at her residence. She was born in Smithville, TN on October 5, 1965.

Mrs. Watson was preceded in death by her grandparents: Virgie Grissim, Alfred Grissim, Della (Charles) Poston, and Arnel Murphy; aunt: Minnie Poss and uncles: William Murphy and Earnest Murphy, all of Smithville, TN.

Mrs. Watson is survived by her husband: Thomas Watson of Petersburg, TN; three daughters: Gwendolyn Ponder of Smithville, TN, Devin (Josh) Wahlmeier of Flintville, TN and Ashley May of Flintville, TN; one son: Chris (Julie) Ponder of Smithville, TN; father: Wayne (Cathy) Grissim of Coldwater, MI; mother: Frances (George) Fincher of McMinnville,TN; Mother-in-law Ann Watson; two sisters: Sonia (Darryl) Talley of Smyrna, TN and Gina (Jerry) Moss of Smyrna, TN; one brother: Wayne (Su) Grissim, Jr. of South Korea; one step-brother: George Fincher, Jr. of Beersheba Springs, TN; 14 grandchildren: Haley and Hope Hendrixson, Madison, Brooklyn, Ricky, Gracelynn, Jace and Brinson Ponder, Ellie Moss, Hayden Feltman, Matthew, Aaliyah and Joshua Jr. Wahlmeier, and Peyton May;(5)Nieces Donann (Shane) Profitt (Florida),Zara Melton (Smithville),Adrianna(Makayla) Moss-Shawver (M’boro),Lauren (Grant) Winfree (Alabama),Maddie Moss (Knoxville);(3) Nephews A.J. Burial will follow in Prospect Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home.
