A man who allegedly exposed himself at a local laundromat while under the influence has been charged with public intoxication and indecent exposure.

46 year old Marcus John Peregoy of 457 Hodges Road is under a $6,000 bond and he will make a court appearance on July 26.

Smithville Police were called to the laundromat at 466 West Broad Street on Friday, July 6 concerning a possible intoxicated man who was there. Upon arrival officers spoke with Peregoy who appeared unsteady on his feet. His speech was slurred and he was acting in a manner consistent with suspected drug use. He was taken into custody without incident. Upon further investigation, police learned that Peregoy had intentionally exposed his genitals and buttocks to several people in the laundromat including a child less than 13 years of age.
