There is no place like home but for “Major” he is still waiting for a loving family.

This two and a half year old neutered male Border Collie Mix is the WJLE/DeKalb Animal Coalition featured “Pet of the Week”.

“Major” was first featured in April but has not yet found his forever home.

Shelter Director Megan Moore hopes you have room in your heart and home for this adorable dog.

“Major wants to be a lap dog more than anything. He was a featured pet of the week previously but has not found his perfect home. We are revisiting him because he deserves a perfect place to go. He loves to go on walks. He gets along with everybody. He’s a great dog and waiting for his forever home,” she said.

His adoption fee is only $40 to an approved home.

The shelter is now open for business Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 12pm-4pm and Saturday 10am-12pm. and the new phone number is 615-597-3647 (DOGS).

The shelter is located at 186 Transfer Station Road behind Tenneco Automotive.
