The 2018 Homecoming Queen at DeKalb County High School is Lydia Ann Brown
A senior, Brown is the 17 year old daughter of Stephen and Amanda Brown of Liberty.
Brown is a member of the FBLA Club, Climate Crew, Beta Club, and Spanish Club. Her athletic participation: Football cheerleader as a freshman, Cross Country as a sophomore, Softball as a sophomore, and Basketball all four years.
Accomplishments/Awards: NCA All-American Cheerleader as a freshman and selected to the P.R.I.D.E, and District 8AA Honorable Mention and to the All-District Tournament Team in Basketball as a Junior. Brown was also named Outstanding Junior Girl.
She is a member of the Salem Baptist Church Youth.
The Homecoming Attendants are:
Senior Attendant –Madison Suzanne Judkins,, the 17 year old daughter of Tammy and Jeremy Judkins of Smithville.
Judkins is a member of the Senior Beta Club, FBLA, HOSA, FFA, Literature Club, Science Club, Spanish Club and the Climate Crew. She has been a football manager for four years.
Accomplishments/Awards: ACT 21+ Club, member of Senior BETA Club, and Sophomore Homecoming Attendant.
Judkins is also a member of the First United Methodist Church and attends the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Senior Attendant- Zoe Hannah Evelyn Maynard, the 17 year old daughter of Travis and Crystal Maynard of Liberty. She is a dual enrollment student at Motlow State Community College. She has been a basketball cheerleader for four years and is Captain. Maynard is also a football cheerleader.
Accomplishments/Awards: 72 hours of community service, one year nominee and three time All American recipient. She took a mission trip to Ensenada Mexico. As a cheerleader, Maynard was voted “Best Jumps” her Freshman year, “Best Stunts” her Sophomore year, and “Best Stunts” as a Junior. She has also been named an Honors student.
Maynard is a member of the Holiday Church of Christ.
Junior Attendant- Katherine Malone, 16 year old daughter of Kevin and the late Dana Malone of Smithville. She is a member of the FBLA, Senior BETA, Science Club, FFA, Literature Club, and Climate Crew. She is a three year member of the DCHS Football Cheerleading Team.
Awards/Accomplishments: Two time NCA All American nominee, Honors student with a 4.0 GPA, and she was voted “Best Dancer” as cheerleader her Sophomore year.
Malone is a member of the First Baptist Church of Smithville Youth Group.
Sophomore Attendant- Abigail Lawson, the 15 year old daughter of David and Melissa Lawson of Liberty. She is a member of the BETA and FFA Clubs. Lawson passed with all A’s last year and has a 4.0 GPA. She attends the Old Fashion Freewill Baptist Church.
Freshman Attendant- Haidyn Renee Hale, the 14 year old daughter of Chad Hale and Melissa Odom of Smithville. She is a member of the FBLA, FFA, Climate Crew, and the Literature Club. Hale is a Basketball Cheerleader.

Accomplishments/Awards: Received a Good Citizenship Award and Highest Average in Math Award as an 8th grader, Junior BETA President, Among the Top 10 and earned the highest GPA of the grade. Hale is active in the Relentless Youth Ministry at the First Assembly of God. She participates in plays at the DeKalb Performing Arts. Hale also enjoys cheerleading, performing in youth dramas, and spending time with family and friends.
Spirit week activities will be held September 24-28 at DCHS. The Homecoming Parade will take place Friday afternoon, September 28 and the Tiger Homecoming Football game will be at 7:00 p.m. that night against Livingston Academy. WJLE will have LIVE coverage of the game.
