A night of high school basketball nostalgia!
DeKalb County and Cannon County High School basketball fans can take a trip down memory lane Saturday night as athletes of the past at both schools take to the court in Smithville for the First Ever Border Battle Alumni Basketball Games. The event will serve as a benefit for the DCHS Project Graduation. Admission is $5.00 but free for kids aged 3 and younger.
The first game tips off at 6 p.m. and WJLE will broadcast LIVE!
Former educator and coach Mike Braswell will be coaching the DCHS men’s Alumni Team and Teacher and former DCHS Lady Tiger basketball star Maryanne Puckett will coach the DCHS women’s Alumni squad.
The DCHS Alumni men’s roster includes the following and their year of graduation:
Jacob Rankhorn-2004, Lucas Phillips-2013, Zackary Vincent-2013, Ethan Roller- 2014, Justin Bone-2015, Trey Jones-2018, Noah Martin-2019, Colter Norris-2019, Tanner Poss-2019, Hayden Thomas-2019, Brayden Antoniak-2022, Nathaniel Crook-2022, and Jordan Young-2022.
The DCHS Alumni women’s roster includes the following and their year of graduation:
