The Smithville-DeKalb County Chamber of Commerce has announced the winners of the 2018 “Project Welcome Mat” in time for the Fiddler’s Jamboree and Crafts Festival July 6 & 7.
This year’s winners are as follows:
*People’s Choice – Webb’s Pharmacy, Gifts, & Soda Fountain, “Two Scoops and You’re in Heaven, Welcome to Jamboree 47”
*Most Original -Middle Tennessee Natural Gas, “Get Those Fiddles Revvin To Jamboree 47”
*Best Worded- Wilson Bank and Trust, “Pick a Seat and Watch the Show, Off to the Jamboree We Go!”
“We want to thank all the businesses that participated in the 17th Annual Chamber of Commerce “Jamboree Project Welcome Mat” contest and for using your message signs to welcome Jamboree visitors. The signs were all so great, and we have received so many positive comments. It’s vitally important to make sure that our Jamboree visitors know how appreciated and important they are, so mission accomplished,” said Suzanne Williams, Executive Director of the Smithville-DeKalb County Chamber of Commerce
“We had a record-breaking number of entries this year. The votes were so close, I had to recount several times to be sure. Again, we are so grateful to all who entered the contest,” said Williams.
