DeKalb County Circuit Court Clerk Susan Martin will be a candidate for re-election in 2022.

Martin has announced her intention to seek the Republican nomination for the office in the May 3 DeKalb County GOP Primary.

Her announcement is as follows:

“What an honor and privilege it has been to serve as your DeKalb County Circuit Court Clerk for the past four years. This office has seen many challenges since I took office in 2018 with the COVID pandemic disrupting the court system but has continued to adapt and press forward. I feel confident that the procedures that have been put in place as well as new services that have been implemented have helped keep your judicial system up and running and moving forward. The new website offers individuals the ability to look at court dockets, view upcoming changes, as well as the ability to pay court costs, fines, and tickets online. There has also been a drop box installed to assist individuals who can’t make it to the office during regular business hours. As we look ahead to the next four years I feel that there will be even more changes that will continue to bring this office forward to align with the technological advances that we are seeing,” said Martin.

“My family and I live in Alexandria. I have been married to my husband, Shane, for almost 27 years and have been blessed with three children: Hope (Corey) Cripps, Brooke, and Lance; as well as with two grandchildren: Caleb and Harper. My family and I are members at West Main Baptist Church in Alexandria and enjoy serving there”.

“I humbly ask for your vote and support in the upcoming elections and look forward to serving you for another four years,” said Martin
