Happy Summer from Empower Upper Cumberland! Want more for your family? Empower Upper Cumberland is a FREE grant-funded program for families with children under 18 years old in the home. We are in all 14 Counties of the Upper Cumberland. If you receive Free or Reduced Lunch at school, are receiving SNAP or TennCare, or make less than 185% of the Federal Poverty Guideline, then you may be eligible for this program. Empower UC is enrolling families continuously and has funding to help families get more out of life & become more prosperous. Some ways we might empower families are: Help with finding & keeping employment (& higher paying employment), transportation to/from work, finding childcare or helping with costs, higher education (TCAT, 2-Year & 4-Year pathways), financial counseling, credit recovery, computer skills training, resume assistance, one-on-one coaching and much more. Everything is free & confidential and our funding does not affect benefits eligibility. Empower UC works around your schedule so you don’t have to take time away from your job, school or family. There are fun & free monthly Family EmpowerMENT Nights with family meals, too. It only takes 5-10 minutes to apply and there is nothing to upload.
