Roger Dale Summers

Roger Dale Summers, age 75, of Smithville, passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Willow Branch in McMinnville. Born on March 24, 1950, in Smithville, TN, he was the son of the late John Lee and Vera Pedigo Summers. Roger was previously employed by O’Reilly Auto Parts and DeKalb County Sanitation Services as a truck driver. He was a member of the Brethren in Christ Church.

Roger is survived by his son, Kenneth Robin (Leighann) Summers of Dowelltown; three grandchildren, Victoria (Bryan) Cordell of Sale Creek, JT Summers, and Eric Summers both of Dowelltown; and one great-grandchild, Harper Cordell of Sale Creek. He is also survived by his siblings, Bobby Summers of Smithville, Kay Bailiff of Dowelltown, Jeanette Paris of McMinnville, and Doug (Kathy) Summers of Liberty. Special family members Carlos Lopez Stiff and John Curtis, both of Smithville, and Martha Parker of Woodbury, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins, also mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Miriam Summers, and his brothers, Albert Lee Summers and Gordon Summers.

Visitation with the family will be held on Monday from 2-7pm and on Tuesday from 11am until the time of service at 2pm followed by burial in Pedigo-Summers Cemetery.

The family has requested that donations be made to Love-Cantrell Funeral Home to help with burial expenses.

Marvin Lindell Beckham

Marvin Lindell Beckham age 93 of Dowelltown, passed away at his home on Thursday, May 8, 2025. He was born in Doniphan, MO to his parents, the late Wardie Auther and Ruby Ward Beckham. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Beckham; 2 sons, Kenneth Beckham and Jerry Beckham; and brother, Thomas Beckham. He was the owner of Gino’s Bar-B-Que for almost 48 years. He was a member of Center Hill Lodge 77 and a Shriner. Marvin served in the United States Air Force for over 21 years. He is survived by 7 grandchildren, Jennifer Chapman and Nikki Beckham both of Smithville, JJ Beckham and Chase Beckham both of Cookeville, Chesney (Blake) Ayers, Danny (Callie) Crews and Matthew Exum; 5 great-grandchildren, Brady (Allison) Hughes, Carleigh Beckham, Whitleigh Chapman, Lily Beckham and Emma Beckham; 2 great-great-grandchildren, Brooklyn and Presley Hughes; adopted daughter, Vickey (Dan) Crews. There will be a Masonic Service on 6 PM Monday evening, May 12, 2025 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be 1 PM Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Michael Hale officiating and burial will follow in DeKalb Memorial Gardens with Military Honors conducted by the Veterans Honor Guard. Basil Dean Foutch

Smithville, TN resident and Warren County native Basil Dean Foutch, age 60, was born July 19, 1964 and died May 8, 2025 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center following a two-month illness.

A salesman with Potters Hardware in Smithville, he was the son of the late Wiley Foutch and Jewelldean McBride Alligood. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Quimbe Lynn Foutch, Samuel Dale Foutch and Michael Fuston Foutch and lifelong friend, Greg Keaton.

Mr. Foutch is survived by his companion of 26 years, Drenda Murphy of Smithville, TN; daughter, Ashley Nichole Barnes and James Harden of La Vergne, TN; grandchildren, Kenzi Barnes and Brody Harden; brother, Buddy (Terri) Foutch of McMinnville; sister, Patricia (Doug) Pack of Rock Island, TN; companions children, Veronica (Gary) Johnson and Stephanie (Brian) Leist both of Smithville; companions grandchildren, Christian (Nick) Underhill, Alexis Atnip and Savannah Murphy Leist and companions great-grandchildren, Elijah, Halle Grace and Clara.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, May 12, 2025 in High’s Chapel with Trent Colwell officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. View Cemetery on Hwy 30 in McMinnville. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at High’s.

Robin Lynn Mullins

Robin Lynn Mullins, age 61 of Smithville, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2025 at her residence. She worked at Federal-Mogul, enjoyed drawing artwork and her family was her top priority. She had a nurturing nature about her to the ones she came in contact with. She loved helping others.

She was born on September 8, 1963 in Detroit Michigan. She moved to Smithville in 2001. She was preceded in death by her parents; Jim and Sarah Juanita Hobbs Ferrell, 2 sisters; Jimmy Fay Strawser and Deborah Huckleby and a grandchild; Bradyn Chadwell.

Visitation with the family will be on Saturday from 1:00 to 7:00 pm and Sunday from 11:00 am until service time at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Randall Massa will officiate and burial will follow in Mount Ararat Cemetery in the Pea Ridge Community.

Temple Gray McCloud Allen

Mrs. Allen, age 88 of Lebanon passed away May 7, 2025, at Lebanon Health & Rehab.
Born December 21, 1936, in Wilson County, she is the daughter of the late Herman and Carrie Whitfield Gray. She was a graduate of Lebanon High School and was a member of Rocky Valley Baptist Church. She retired from University Medical Center where she worked as a receptionist. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Cecil Dale McCloud; sister, Gladys Loftis; and step son, Tim Allen.

She is survived by her husband, Omrie Allen; step daughter, Roenia (David) Turner; three step grandchildren, Lindsay (Daniel) Greer, Daxton Allen, and Andrew Allen; niece, Teresa (Reagan) McDonald; nephew, Jerry Loftis; and great nephew, Clay Loftis.

Peter Hines

Peter Hines, age 64 years old of Michigan passed away on April 19, 2025. He was born on September 25, 1960. A celebration of life will be held at a later date with the family in Michigan.

Rondall “Wormy” Parker

Rondall “Wormy” Parker age 71, of the Snow Hill Community passed away Wednesday April 30, 2025, at his residence. He was born May 10, 1953, to his parents the late Paul Justus Parker and Dorothy Colwell Parker White. Mr. Parker was a Truck Driver and enjoyed riding motorcycles. Phillip Wayne DeBord

Phillip Wayne DeBord age 71 of Smithville passed away Tuesday April 29, 2025, at Ascension St. Thomas Hospital Midtown. He was born September 5, 1953, to his parents the late Wayne and Doris Bowen DeBord. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Boze and Freeda Bowen. Phil was a member of Outreach Baptist Church and retired after 20 years in United States Army. He is survived by wife, Kathy DeBord of Smithville; daughter, Cara (Shaun) Everson; son, Jason (Rachel) DeBord; grandchildren, Kaleb Everson, Jaden Everson, Jason Keegan DeBord, and Nathaniel Zakszewski; brother, Kevin B. DeBord; sister, Grace L. DeBord. Funeral services will be 11:AM Wednesday May 7, 2025, at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Sherry Gayle Taylor Graham

Sherry Gayle Taylor Graham age 83 of Smithville, passed away Wednesday morning, April 30, 2025 at Tristar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville. She was born January 9, 1942 to her parents, the late Solon and Dean Haynes Taylor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Taylor. She had been a clerical worker. Graveside services and interment will be 3M Friday, May 2, 2025 at DeKalb Memorial Gardens with Bro. Michael Hale officiating. Jerry Marshall Griffith

Jerry Marshall Griffith age 77 of Smithville passed away Monday night, April 28,2025, at Life Care Center of Sparta. He was born September 16,1947 to his parents the late John Marshall and Gladys Ivy Griffith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Elizabeth Griffith. Mr. Griffth retired from Middle Tennessee Natural Gas after 28 years service and was a Methodist. He is survived by wife, Penny Griffith of Smithville; stepdaughter, Jade (Phil) Lucas of California; 4 grandchildren, Summer Adcock, River Moser, Lake Moser, Victoria Lucas.
