Dale Bullard age 64 of Smithville, passed away Wednesday February 12, 2025, at Quality Center for Rehab and Healing in Lebanon. He was born July 5, 1960, to his parents the late, Leburn and Ira Phillips Bullard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister: Ann Rigsby; brothers: Riley Bullard and Tim Bullard; mother of his children: Judy Bullard. Mr. Bullard was of the Non-denominational Faith and was a self-employed Electrician and Plumber. He is survived by children: Richard (Shannon) Bullard of Cookeville, and Jennifer Bullard of Smithville; grandchildren: Ricky Bullard, Lucas Bullard, Addilyn Bullard, Aleah Dye, Kayden Jacobs; great-grandchild: Silas Dye; sisters: Pamela (Buster) Pleasant of Rock Island and Marie (James) Bain of Smithville. Funeral services will be held 3:30PM Sunday February 16, 2025, at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Darrell Gill officiating and burial to follow at DeKalb Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Saturday February 15, 2025, 2 PM till 8 PM and on Sunday February 16, 2025, 10:AM until the time of the service at 3:30 PM. Cristy Lynn Judkins age 53 passed away Tuesday February 11, 2025, at Willow Branch L T C Facility in McMinnville. She was born April 8, 1971, to her parents the late Leon and Janice Hicks Biggs. Cristy was of the Pentecostal Faith and a Factory Worker. She is survived by her husband, Douglas Judkins of Smithville; children, Becky (Corey) Dickens of Smithville, Amber Womack of McMinnville, and Sha (Phillip) Martin of Smithville; step-children, Jonathan Judkins, Eric Judkins, and Jason Judkins all of Smithville; 6 grandchildren; sister, Shannon Williams of McMinnville. Graveside services and burial will be held Wednesday February 12, 2025, at 11:00AM at Burton-Ponder Cemetery. There will not be any visitation or services held at the funeral home. Family and friends will meet at Burton-Ponder Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to DeKalb Funeral Chapel to help with final expenses. Claude “Mr. Bud” Astor Morgan, III, age 87 of Smithville, passed away Monday morning February 10, 2025, at his residence. He was born September 4, 1937, to his parents, the late Claude Astor Morgan, II, and Florence Elizabeth Snyder Morgan Palmer. He was a salesman for Cooper Tire & Rubber Co., served in the Virginia National Guard and attended Elizabeth Chapel Baptist Church. Survivors include 2 Children: Julie (Mark) David of Smithville, Craig (Holly) Morgan of Ft. Worth, TX.; Grandchildren: Kristal (Johnny) Turner, Tyler (Elisabeth) David, Kylie Gathright, Geren Gathright; Great Grandchildren: Trace Turner, Natchez Turner, Flynn David and Rose David. The family has honored Mr. Morgan’s request to be cremated. A Memorial Service will be held 5 PM Saturday, February 15, 2025 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Bill Robertson officiating. Visitation will be Saturday 4 PM until the service at 5 PM. In addition to flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Alive Hospice or Alzheimer’s of the Upper Cumberland, in memory of Mr Morgan.
