75 year old Thomas Gordon Green of Sparta passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at St. Thomas Highlands Hospital in Sparta.
He was a retired machine operator with Texas Boot. He was of the Church of Christ faith.
Visitation with the family will be at Love-Cantrell Funeral Home on Thursday, November 5, 2020, from 11: 00 am to 8:00 pm and on Friday, November 6 from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 pm in the chapel. Brother Dan Gulley will officiate. Burial will follow in the Corinth Cemetery.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, John Dowie and Mettie Emma Neely Green; one brother, Paul Green; and two sisters, Christine Adcock and Elsie Stienbach. He is survived by one son, Robbie Green of Sparta; two daughters, Amy Green of Florida and Jamie Green of Jasper, Tennessee; four grandsons,Robbie Dale Green, Jr. and Devin Lynn Green, both of Smithville, Cody Maples and Thomas Garrett Richards, both of Jasper, TN; two granddaughters, Leigha Kay Green, of Smithville and Megan Richards of Dresden, TN; seven brothers and sisters, Joyce (Chester) Carmon of Shepherdsville, KY, Sara Adcock of Readyville, TN, James (Ginny) Green of Spring Hill, TN, John (Judie) Green of Walling, TN, Donna Faye Cantrell, Eddie (Carol) Green, and Jack (Deana) Green, all of Smithville; one brother-in-law, Albert Adcock of Smithville.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Corinth Cemetery Fund in memory of Thomas.

Wetonna “Winnie” Wagers

Ms. Wetonna “Winnie” Wagers, age 72 of Smithville, TN passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
Ms. Winnie was born on July 5, 1948 in Lafayette , Indiana to her parents, the late Earl & Helen Saylors. She was a Homemaker and had retired from K-Mart. She was a member of the Bethlehem Community Church.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, November 6, 2020 at 4pm at Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2pm until the service time at 4pm on Friday. Bro. Steve Keaton will officiate. Social distancing is requested and masks are required to attend the visitation and the service. No food will be accepted.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband, A.T. Wagers. 2 Grandchildren, Matthew & Michael. 1 Great Grandchild & several Brothers & Sisters. Survivors include, 5 Children, Ronidona “Missi” Murvin of Smithville, TN, Jennifer (Gary) Ream Phebus of Ill., Tonya Conner of FL, Ronald, Jr. (Mon) Ream of NC, Joseph Ream of IN. Grandchildren, Nathaniel, Summer-Lynn, Holly, Ricky, Chris, James, Eddie, Bradley, Tyler, Logan, Mackey, Brodie & Kiya. 2 Great Grandchildren. 4 Siblings, Sonny Saylors, Lyndon Saylors, Janet (Jake) West & Wanda West.

Brad Dewayne Driver

Mr. Brad Dewayne Driver, age 47 of Smithville, TN passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2020 at his residence.
Brad was born on June 26, 1973 in Lebanon, TN to his mother, the late Opal Lawson Glover. He was a member of Emmanuel Bread of Life Church in Lebanon.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at 2pm from the chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Burial will follow at DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday from 10am until the service time at 2pm. Due to Covid-19 precautions, social distance measures will be observed. We are temporarily not accepting food in our kitchen facilities.
Survivors include 1 great uncle, Jimmy Arnold of Smithville; 1 great aunt, Joan and George Hamilton of Smithville; Special caregiver, Marlene Goodwin of Dowelltown; Several cousins and friends also survive.

Raymond Eugene Gordon

Mr. Raymond Eugene Gordon, age 66 of Smithville, TN passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2020 at his residence.
Raymond was born on August 12, 1954 in Denver, Colorado to his parents, the late John & Mariam Spain Gordon. Also preceding him in death are 2 Brothers, John & Richard Gordon. He was a Christian and had worked as a server at “Tony’s Restaurant” , worked in Construction & was a Building Inspector all in the city of Pomona CA.
The family has chosen cremation. No services are planned at this time.
Survivors include, 3 Children, Christopher Lamadrid, John (Amber) Gordon & Raymond Gordon. 4 Sisters, Vivian Sue Salchenberg, Margaret Richards, Barbara (Farris) Thweatt of Smithville, TN & Cheryl Hernandez. Brother, Phillip Gordon. 2 Nieces, Randy (Margaret) Street of Smithville, TN & Jacqueline Craft. Several Nieces & Nephews also survive.

Rickey Eugene Murphy

Rickey Eugene Murphy age 61 of Smithville, passed away Saturday October 24, 2020 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital. He was born March 27, 1959 to his parents, the late Arthur Lee and Kathleen Crook Murphy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Minnie Oleta Murphy and son, Rickey Wayne Murphy. He was a Baptist and a nursery worker. Rickey is survived by 2 daughters, Teresa Thomas and Norma Ervin both of Smithville; 8 grandchildren, Chris Davis, Kayla Ervin, Brittany Zimmerman, Jonathan Chapman, Jessie Herman and Heather Parsell; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Harold Murphy of Smithville and Kenneth Murphy of Florida; 2 sisters, Faye Baker of Sparta and Kathy Murphy of Shelbyville; several nieces and nephews also survive. Graveside services and interment will be 1:PM Monday November 2, 2020 at Cannady Cemetery. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery at 1:00 for the service, no visitation or services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to DeKalb Funeral Chapel to help with funeral expenses. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements
Alice Beatrice Anderson

79 year old Alice Beatrice Anderson of Alexandria died Thursday at Alive Hospice in Nashville. She was a homemaker, member of the Mt Zion Baptist Church, and a member of the Red Hat Society and FCE Club. The funeral will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Chapel of Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria. Jared Randolph will officiate and burial will be in the Harpeth Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 4-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the service. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carsie Floyd Craighead and Annie Mai Brewington; her husband of 59 years James Arlin Anderson; brothers, Floyd Craighead, Jr. Craighead, and Johnny Craighead; and a sister, Patricia Holland. She is survived by children, Debra and Ray Meadows of Charlotte, Tim and Beverly Anderson of Smyrna, and Robin and David Ligon of Fairview. Eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and a sister, Marie Adams. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria is in charge of the arrangements.
