Tigerettes Drop Season Opener at Warren County

The DCHS Tigerettes Fast Pitch Softball Team dropped their season opener at Warren County Tuesday losing 11 to 1.

Warren County scored 11 runs on 13 hits and made 1 error. The Tigerettes scored 1 run on 6 hits and made no errors.

Jacey Hatfield, Megan Walker, Kenzie France, and Maddison Parsley each had a hit and Emme Colwell had 2 hits.

The Lady Pioneers scored seven runs in the sixth inning as Madison Hollis, Ashton Whiles, Maddie Cantrell, and Makenna Mason each had RBIs in the inning.

Hollis earned the victory in the circle for Warren County. She allowed four hits on one run over three innings. She struck out five and walked none.

Madison Whitehead took the loss for DeKalb County. She surrendered 11 runs on 13 hits over five and a third innings and struck out two.

Warren County belted two homeruns in the game including a four bagger for Whiles in the sixth inning and Hollis went deep in the fifth inning.

The Tigerettes were scheduled to host Watertown today (Thursday, March 14) but the game has been cancelled due to weather. No make-up date has yet been set.
