A strong start and finish propelled the DCHS Tigerettes to a 13 to 4 victory over Upperman Tuesday.
DeKalb County scored 13 runs on 14 hits and made no errors while Upperman scored 4 runs on 7 hits and made 4 errors.
The Tigerettes scored 4 runs in the 1st inning 1 run in the 2nd inning, and 8 runs in the 7th inning. Upperman scored 2 runs in the 1st inning and 2 runs in the 4th inning.
Emme Colwell got the win for the Tigerettes. She allowed 7 hits and 4 runs over 7 innings, striking out 1 and walking 1.
Colwell had 4 hits and an RBI. Madison Whitehead with 3 hits and 2 RBI. Megan Walker 2 hits and an RBI. Madison Parsley 1 hit and 3 RBI. Jacey Hatfield and Kenzie France each with a hit and an RBI while Braya Murphy and Joni Robinson each had a hit.
The Tigerettes launched one home run on the day. France went deep in the 7th inning.
