The DeKalb County Tigerettes grabbed an early lead on its way to a 5-3 victory over Obion County on Friday in the Waverly Tournament.
DC scored on a groundout by Jacey Hatfield and a single by Aly Griffith in the first inning.
Bri Murphy earned the win for the Tigerettes. The righty lasted six innings, allowing nine hits and three runs while striking out three and walking none.
Brea Martin took the loss for Obion County. The hurler lasted five innings, allowing eight hits and five runs while striking out three.
Griffith went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead the Tigerettes in hits.
