DCHS Teams Stung by Bees

The DCHS basketball teams were stung by the Upperman Bees and Ladies at Baxter Tuesday night.

The Lady Tigers lost 52 to 35 while the Tigers were beaten 89 to 33.

In the girls game, DC trailed 14 to 13 after the 1st period, 26 to 19 at halftime, and 44 to 29 after the 3rd period before falling 52 to 35.

Megan Cantrell scored 15. Mya Ruch 6. Emme Colwell 4. Megan Walker and Kadee Ferrell each with 3 and Summer Crook and Gracie Griffin each scored 2.

The Tigers were shutout 21 to 0 after the 1st period and trailed 50 to 9 at halftime, and 68 to 20 after the 3rd before losing 89 to 33.

Zachary Birmingham scored 9. Evan Jones and Dallas Cook each with 4. Lucas Hale and Luke Jenkins each with 3 and Isaac Brown, Ean Jones, Elisha Ramos, Jordon Young, and Nathaniel Crook each with 2 points.

The Tigers have a record of 4-12 (1-4 in the district) while the Lady Tigers are now 9-8 and (2-3 in the district).
