DCHS Closes Out Regular Season Falling to Macon County

Its not the way the Tigers and Lady Tigers wanted to close out the regular season with losses at Macon County Thursday night, but they will now set their sights on the District Tournament which begins next week at Tennessee Tech in Cookeville.

The Tigers lost to Macon County Thursday night 58 to 43 while the Lady Tigers were defeated 50 to 45.

In the boys game DeKalb County led 14 to 10 after the 1st period but fell behind 27 to 23 by halftime and trailed 38 to 33 by the end of the 3rd period before losing 58 to 43.

For the girls, the Lady Tigers were outscored 19 to 5 in the 1st period. DC trailed 36 to 22 at halftime and 43 to 38 after the 3rd period before falling 50 to 45.

Lydia Brown scored 22. Joni Robinson 10. Emme Colwell 9 and Kenzie France and Megan Walker each with 2 points.
