80 year old Tootsie Young of Smithville passed away Sunday at NHC Smithville. Young was a member of the Smithville First Baptist Church and retired from Federal Mogul. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Chad Ramsey will officiate and burial will be in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. and Wednesday from noon until the service at 2 p.m. Young was preceded in death by parents, Leo and Etta Davidson Beck and an infant twin brother Ray Beck. Survivors include a daughter, Sheila and Kelly McCord and grandchildren, Wilson and Caroline McCord all of Alabama. A sister, Elaine Beck-Morris of Smyrna. Two brothers, Vernon and Thomas V. Beck of Texas. Several nieces, nephews, and many loving friends also survive. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. In addition to flowers, donations may be made to the Smithville First Baptist Church in memory of Tootsie. A special thanks to the staff at NHC for the care provided to Ms. Tootsie.
