Ronald B. Hill age 87, passed away at his residence Wednesday September 14, 2022. He was born September 3, 1935 to his parents, Marcus and Robbie Hobbs Hill, SR. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Hill; sisters, Louise Bjerke, Mary Van Horn, Anita Thomas, Sadie Russell, Ruby Wiley; brothers, Marcus Hill, Jr., Bennie Stewart, Joe Hill. Mr. Hill attended Outreach Baptist Church and worked as a Saw Operator in Lumber Mill. He is survived by wife of 32 years, Sue Hill of Smithville; sons, Avery (Donna) Hill and Jeffery (Lisa) Hill both of McMinnville; step-daughter, Tammy Brown of Smithville; step-sons, Tracy (Tammy) Ferrell of Rock Island, and Jason (Racheal) Ferrell of Smithville; 3 step-grandsons, Derrick Tramel and Bradley Brown both of Smithville, and Taylor (Brittany) Ferrell of Gainesboro; 1 step great-granddaughter, Lilly Tramel of Celina; sister, Barbara Bloodworth of Beersheba; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held Saturday September 17, 2022 at 11:00AM at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Jeffery Hill and Bro. Nathan Thomason officiating and burial to follow in DeKalb Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday September 16, 2022 4:00PM until 7:00PM and on Saturday September 17, 2022 9:00AM until the time of the service at 11:00AM. The family would like to say a special “Thank You,” to Alive Hospice, Megan and Dr. Dingle and her staff for the care that was shown to Mr. Hill.
