Farrell Adams Dixon

Mrs. Farrell Adams Dixon age 78 of Smithville and formerly of Orlinda, TN passed away Thursday at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro. She was born March 1, 1942 to her parents, the late James Emmett & Evelyn Beatrice Crowder Cook. Mrs. Dixon was a seamstress, a member of Smithville First U.M.C., and a longtime member of Cross Plains U.M.C. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by Son-in-law: David Wiley; Brother: James Cook. Funeral services will be held 2 P.M.  Saturday at the Cross Plains U.M.C. in Cross Plains, Tn., with Revs. David Lunsford, Diana DeWitt & Steve Boutell officiating and burial to follow in the Cross Plains U.M.C. Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held Friday 4 P.M. until 8 P.M. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel and Saturday 10:AM until time of the service at 2 P.M. at Cross Plains U.M.C., in Cross Plains, TN. Survivors include husband Billy Ray Dixon of Smithville; 6 Children: Lavonna (Victor) Hamilton of Smithville, David (Gayle) Adams of Springfield, Stephanie (Jon) Miller of Middlebury, IN., Carol Wiley of Ridgetop, Billy (Shawn) Dixon, Jr., of Orlinda and Melva (Vince) Toro of McMinnville; 18 Grandchildren; 21 Great-Grandchildren; Sister-in-law: Louise Cook of White House; Father of her children: Bruce Adams of Springfield; her dog: Lucky Buck. In addition to flowers donations may be made to Smithville First U.M.C. building fund or Cross Plains U.M.C. cemetery. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
