Junita Agee

Mrs. Junita Agee, age 79 of Smithville, TN passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2020 at St. Thomas West.

Mrs. Agee was born on October 8, 1941 in Smithville, TN to her parents, the late Claude and Lucille Foster. Also preceding her in death was an infant child, Melinda Agee; brother: Jimmy Foster, Aubrey Foster, Walter Grey Foster, and Kenneth Foster. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was also a devoted Christian woman and a member of Indian Creek Baptist Church. She also loved spending time with her family, planting flowers, and listening to gospel music.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at 3pm from the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Whorton Springs Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday from 4pm until 8pm and on Thursday from 10am until 3pm. Due to Covid 19 precautions, social distance measures will be observed. We are not accepting food in our kitchen facilities at this time.

Survivors include husband of 54 years Charlie Agee; 2 daughters: Charlotte (Randall) Blaylock of McMinnville, Lucinda Fay Agee of Smithville; 2 Sons: Roy Agee of Smithville, and Kevin (Jennifer) Agee of Smithville; Grandchildren: Nikolas Agee, Briona Agee, Cali Agee all of Smithville, Justin (Brittney) Blaylock of Bradyville. 3 brothers: Mr. & Mrs. Eugene Foster of Smithville, Mr. & Mrs. Joe Foster of Smithville, and Mr. & Mrs. Donald Foster of Centertown; several nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins, and great grandchildren. Special family friends: Chad Kirby and Scotty Fuson.

Preston Littleton Fritts

December 29, 2020

94 year old Preston Littleton Fritts of Alexandria died Thursday, December 24 at Ascension St. Thomas River Park Hospital in McMinnville. He was a TV and radio repairman, a US Army World War II veteran, and a member of the Church of God. A graveside service will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Hunter Memorial Park. Jason Fritts will officiate. Visitation will be Friday, January 1 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Arvin Fritts and Gretchen Lula Calico; his wife of 70 years, Pauline; son, Randall P. Fritts; sister, Francis Marie Aytes; brothers, Robert Howard Fritts, Norwood Fritts, and Arthur Fritts. Survivors include children, Kimberly S. and John Walker of Lebanon, Joel A. and Jewely Fritts of Murfreesboro, and Jason D. and Norene Fritts of Murfreesboro. Eight grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren. Sisters, Mamie Raschke and Shirley JoAnn Watkins. Daughter-in-law, Trish Boudens Fritts. Marie Knowles

December 28, 2020

Ms. Alma Marie Knowles passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Elmcroft of Hendersonville, TN.

Ms. Knowles was born on June 3, 1933 in Liberty, TN to her parents, the late Homer and Pauline Hayes. Also preceding her in death is her husband, Donald Knowles, and her sister, Billie Foutch.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Noon at Brush Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church with burial to follow at DeKalb Memorial Gardens at 3:30pm. Visitation with the family will be on Thursday from 10am until the time of the service at noon. Due to Covid 19 precautions, social distance measures will be observed.

Survivors include 3 daughters: Debbie May of Nashville, Teresa and Jamie Randolph of Hendersonville, and Susan and John Curtis of Nashville; 5 grandchildren: Phillip and Currey May of Nashville, Lynn and Jason Lassiter of Hendersonville, Deborah and Warren Vinson of North Carolina, Justin and Jessica Stanley of Hendersonville, and Landon Stanley of Hendersonville; 5 great-grandchildren: Cash Vinson, Chloe Vinson, Jack Lassiter, Olivia Lassiter, and Jaden Stanley of Hendersonville; 5 Brothers and sisters: Lounette Judkins of McMinnville, James and Nettie Hayes of Old Hickory, Joyce and Johnny O’Conner of Donelson, Sarah and Ronnie Kent of Smithville, and Wanda and Ted Ray of Liberty. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Michael Thomas Agee

December 28, 2020

Michael Thomas Agee age 61 of Smithville, passed away Sunday December 27, 2020 at his residence. He was born April 19, 1959 to his parents, the late Thomas Eugene and Clara Willerby Agee. He was a truck driver. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Regenia Agee of Smithville; 2 brothers, Sam and Kenny Agee both of Plymouth, Indiana; 3 step-grandchildren, Travis, Hanna and Gracie Chambers. The family has chose a direct cremation and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Knox, Indiana. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.




Repsie L. Pedigo

Mr. Repsie Pedigo, age 72 of McMinnville, TN passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at his residence.

Mr. Pedigo was born on August 11, 1948 in Smithville, TN to his parents, the late Martin and Mary Alice Pedigo. Also preceding him in death is a brother, Ronald Pedigo. He was self employed, a member of Smithville Church of God, and an Army veteran.

A graveside services will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 1pm at DeKalb Memorial Gardens where burial will follow. Due to Covid 19 precautions, social distance measures will be observed.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Linda Winchester Pedigo; 1 son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Valeisha Pedigo of Smithville; 1 daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Brian Cantrell of McMinnville; 5 grandchildren: Matthew Siles, Daniel Blake, Eli Cantrell, Andrea Cantrell, and Lizbeth Pedigo; 4 Brothers: Ralph and Loretta Pedigo of Chattanooga, Roy Lee and Melba Pedigo of Smithville, Richard Pedigo of Texas, and Rex and Sepal Pedigo of McMinnville; 3 Sisters: Ruby Jones of Smithville, Rose Duncan of Illinois, and Renda and John Lavin of Kentucky; Several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Smithville Church of God building fund.

Rosie Swindell Cox Pedigo

Mrs. Rosie Swindell Cox Pedigo, age 78 of Smithville, TN passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at NHC of Smithville, TN.

Mrs. Pedigo was born on April 28, 1942 in Sparta, TN to her parents, the late Charley & Martha Harris Swindell. Also preceding her in death is a daughter, Priscilla Lattimore & a grandson, Greg Page. She was retired from NHC Healthcare as a CNA and was of the Baptist faith.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at 1pm from the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Burial will follow at DeKalb Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be on Monday from 3-8pm & on Tuesday from 9am until the service time at 1pm. Due to Covid 19 precautions, social distance measures will be observed. We are not accepting food in our kitchen facilities at this time.

Survivors include 5 Daughters, Phyllis Walker of Smithville, TN, Brenda Bratcher of Murfreesboro, TN, Martha (George) Cunningham of Smithville, TN, Trudie (Greg) Matthews of Smithville, TN & Teresa (Micah) Murphy of Smithville, TN. 3 Sons, Robert Cox, Joe (Tammy) Cox & Chris Cox all of Smithville, TN. Several Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren & Great Great Grandchildren. 1 Brother, Dewey (Peggy) Swindell of Sparta, TN.
