Due to the alarming increase in the number of COVID 19 Delta Variant cases in DeKalb County, Library Director Kathy Hendrixson has announced that Justin Potter and the Alexandria Libraries are requiring that masks be worn inside the libraries and that you stay home if you or members of your family are sick. A mask will be provided if necessary. Hand sanitizer and social distancing will be observed.

“We want to keep the libraries fully open to serve the community as long as it safe for the staff and public to do so. Please help us accomplish this by following these guidelines. We want to thank everyone for their patience and co-operation during this crazy time,” said Hendrixson.

Curbside will be available for those that do not wish to come inside during this time or not able to follow these guidelines. These services include, faxing, copying, printing, book and DVD pick up as well as other services. WIFI is available outside the libraries 24 hours a day.

“We can weather this new storm if we all work together, stay calm, keep informed and be respectful of each other,” said Hendrixson.

Please contact Justin Potter Library at 615-597-4359 or Alexandria Library at 615-529-4124 for additional information or visit on Facebook or the website at www.dekalblibraries.net.
