Twenty Seven in DeKalb Fair Baby Show

Twenty seven babies from one day to twelve months old were in the spotlight during the annual Baby Show held Thursday evening at the DeKalb County Fair.

The winners (blue ribbon first place and red ribbon runner-up) are as follows:

*Twins (1 day to 12 months): Kasen and Kaden Kincer, 9 month old twins of Daniel and Kayla Kincer of Smithville

*Boy (1 day to 3 months)
Winner: Easton Brooks Duke, 4 week old son of John and Whitney Duke of Smithville

*Girls (1 day to 3 months)
Winner: Charlotte Moore, 2 month old daughter of Jacob and Megan Moore of Smithville.
Runner-up: Wylie Kate Garrett, 4 week old daughter of Ryan and Erica Garrett of Alexandria

*Boys (4-6 months)
Winner: Ryland Vincent, 6 month old son of Seth and Kayla Vincent of Smithville.
Runner-up: Jamion Maurice Hendrix Roddy, 4 month old son of Jalissa and Damion Roddy of Alexandria

*Girls (4-6 months)
Winner: Kingsley Magnolia Hayes, 4 month old daughter of Chandler and Mackenzie Hayes of Smithville

*Boys (7-9 months)
Winner:.Wyatt Samuel Beale, 9 month old son of Ivan and Olivia Beale of Smithville
Runner-up: Chandler Chase Bain, 8 month old son of Jessica Bain of Smithville

Other participants: Callan Arthur Satterfield, 8 month old son of Carolina Noyloa and Cody Satterfield of Smithville; Marshall Hace Kilgore, 8 month old son of Clay and Mariah Kilgore of Smithville ; and Avery Reece Kilgore, 9 month old son of Colby and Taylor Kilgore of Smithville

*Girls (7-9 months)
Winner: Eleanor Rae Caldwell, 7 month old daughter of Tyler and Lyndsey Caldwell of Dowelltown.
Runner-up: Emma Rose Chapman, 9 month old daughter of Jocelyn Williams and Corey Chapman of Smithville.

Journee Nikole Garnett Davenport, 7 month old daughter of Darian and Travis Davenport of Smithville.

*Boys (10-12 months)
Winner: Aiden Stringer, 10 month old son of Amanda and James Stringer of Liberty
Runner-up: Tucker Higgins, 10 month old son of Sean and Brandie Higgins of Dowelltown.

*Girls (10-12 months)
Winner: Everleigh Hope Wright, 10 month old daughter of Nick and MiKayla Wright of Smithville.
Runner-up: Braylee Renee Ball, 10 month old daughter of Lane and Haley Ball of Smithville.

Sophia Grace Torres, 10 month old daughter of Brooke Bain and Jose Torres of Dowelltown; Everleigh Blackford, 11 month old daughter of Bobby Nichole Blackford of Smithville; Ada James Page, 10 month old daughter of Heather Page and Victor Roller of Smithville; Briley Ann Cripps, 11 month Old daughter of Corey and Kami Cripps of Smithville; Marley Kate Jones, 11 month old daughter of Isaiah Jones and Addison Hale of Smithville; Tinley Mae Brooks, 11 month old daughter of Justin and April Brooks of Smithville; and Khloe Raye Curtis, 11 month old daughter of John Curtis and Brooke Hutchings of Smithville.




Karah Jo Ford Crowned Miss Sweetheart

Karah Jo Ford of Smithville won the Miss Sweetheart pageant Wednesday night at the DeKalb County Fair. She is the 11 year old daughter of Hector Orozco and Amanda Ford.

Ford, who also received the Most Photogenic honor, succeeds the 2019 Miss Sweetheart Keara McKinsey Milligan of Smithville. She is the 14 year old daughter of Josh and Cyndi Milligan.

The pageant featured 10 girls ages 10-12.

Ten year old Cora Marie Cox, daughter of Brandon and Whitney Cox of Smithville was first runner-up in the pageant.

Jessa Nevaeh Sanders was second runner-up. She is the 11 year old daughter of James and Misti Sanders of Smithville.

Third runner-up was 11 year old Kenzi MaKaya Barnes, daughter of Ashley Barnes of Smithville.

Elizabeth Kaye Roth was fourth runner-up. She is the 10 year old daughter of Caleb and Ashley Roth of Alexandria.

Eleven year old Lilly Grace Anderson of Smithville was Miss Congeniality. She is the daughter of Caitlin and the late PFC Billy Anderson.




Katy Jo Bowen Wins Miss Princess Pageant

The 2021 Miss Princess of the DeKalb County Fair is Katy Jo Bowen of Liberty, the 7 year old daughter of the late Joseph Bowen and Kimberly and Cody Atnip.

Bowen was among 17 contestants ages 7-9 who competed for the title Wednesday night at the DeKalb County Fair.

Katy succeeds the 2019 Miss Princess Khloe Grandstaff, the 11 year old daughter of Tyler and Shawna Grandstaff of Smithville. There was no pageant last year due to COVID-19.

Nine year old Charley Loren Prichard of Liberty was first runner-up in the pageant. She is the daughter of Andy and Chrissy Prichard.

Second runner-up was Callen Alizabeth Tramel, the 9 year old daughter of Caleb and Hillary Tramel of Smithville.

Clara Ruth Cox, the 7 year old daughter of Brandon and Whitney Cox of Smithville was third runner-up.

Lyra Dell McMinn was fourth runner-up. She is the 9 year old daughter of Nathan and Amanda McMinn of Smithville.

Nine year old Zoie Dee Ashburn, daughter of Jeremy and Trista Ashburn of Smithville, was Most Photogenic and Khloe Grace Judkins, 7 year old daughter of Will and Britni Judkins of Smithville earned the Miss Congeniality honor.

Others in the top 10 were Zoie Dee Ashburn, 9 year old daughter of Jeremy and Trista Ashburn of Smithville; Arraya Jenae Taylor, 8 year old daughter of Angie Taylor of Smithville; Emilia Faith Meadows, 8 year old daughter of Caitlin Anderson and Nate Meadows of Smithville; Addison Paige Curtis, 8 year old daughter of Heather Page and John Curtis of Smithville; and Alexis Nicole Graham, 9 year old daughter of Derek and Andria Graham of Smithville.
